INTRODUCTION

Itiswithgreatenthusiasmthatweshareour2022-2023DistrictStrategy Mapwithyou!Webelieveourmission,vision,values,andgoalseffectively communicateourprioritiesfortheupcomingyear.Weareexcitedto engagewithourstudentsandtheirfamiliesandwanteveryonewho entersourschoolstofeelwelcomed,honored,andloved.

Ourprioritiesarefewbutpowerfulandimportant:tohelpourstudents strengthentheirliteracyskillssotheyaresuccessfulinanylifepaththey chooseuponhighschoolgraduation,tokeepourtalentedstaffhere andattractnewstafftothedistrict,andtostrengthenthetrustour communityhasinus.Wearesincerelygratefulforyoursupportandlook forwardtoapositiveandproductiveschoolyear.

Achievingthisoverarchinggoalrequiresdedicatededucatorsandstaff, up-to-datefacilities,moderntechnologies,soundcurriculums,needed logistics,andnecessarytransportation.Itrequiresfamilycommitmentand studentmotivation,andcommunitysupportandinvestment.TheMCPASD BoardofEducationbelievesthe2022-2023StrategyMapmarkersand milestones theprioritiesandgoals aresensibleand,importantly,doable. TheMiddleton-CrossPlainsAreaSchoolDistrict (MCPASD)servesapproximately7300studentsina community-basedandon-sitefour-year-old kindergartenprogram,sevenelementaryschools,two middleschools,andtwohighschools Ourstudent bodyisbeautifullydiverse,uniquelytalented,andthe futureofourcommunity Ourstudentsexcelin pursuitsintheclassroom,ontheathleticfield,andon thestage Ourdistricthasconsistentlybeen recognizedasoneofthetopinthestateofWisconsin andnumberoneinDaneCounty

Weprideourselvesonourexpansiveacademicand co-curricularofferings.Ourathleticteams consistentlycompeteforandwinstate championships,andourmusiciansandthespians excelintheirproductionsandcompetitions.Annually, ourstudentsearnthousandsofdollarsinscholarship moniesandattenduniversitiesandcollegesacross thecountry.
