OUR PEOPLE Led by Trevor Gorman and Ian McMullin (Jnr), McMullin Property boasts an experienced management team with a diverse cross section of skills in property, development, project management, financial services, sales and marketing

Trevor Gorman Executive Chairman

Trevor Gorman was a Founding Director of McMullin Group and is now the Executive Chairman of McMullin Property as well as the Chairman of associated companies, MPG Funds Management and Fort Knox Group. Previously, Trevor was a Managing Partner at Deloitte Touché Tohmatsu in the Victorian Growth Solutions Division. Trevor is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Swinburne University.

Ian McMullin Managing Director

Ian McMullin (Jnr) is Managing Director of McMullin Property with a wealth of experience in management and investments. Ian’s past experience includes Senior Management roles at the Spotless Group, an ASX listed company, Director of Operations of Compass Group Australia and Director of Life’s A Party Group. Ian has a broad network throughout Australia’s business community and is also a Board Member of the Collingwood Football Club.


Matt Benson General Manager

Matt Benson is the General Manager of McMullin Property and guides the property development and project management team. Matt has over 20 years of experience in the Property and Construction Industry, 10 of which were spent with Probuild Constructions leading some of Melbourne’s landmark retail, educational and residential projects. Matt holds a Bachelor Degree in Construction Management (with Honours) and a Masters Degree in Business (Property).

John Purdey Development & Leasing Director

John Purdey is the Development and Leasing Director for McMullin Property, playing a key role in identifying development opportunities. John has been involved in all of the significant acquisitions made by the McMullin Group of Companies since its inception. John has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of real estate planning and re-zoning, making him well positioned to identify key sites and opportunities for development by McMullin Property and joint venture partners. As a former CEO of the City of Sandringham, John has forged a strong networks within local, state and federal Government departments. He also has solid links with tenancy groups such as the Large Format Retail Association and an extensive network of retail tenants.

David Ross Consultant

David Ross was a Founding Director of McMullin Group and now consults to McMullin Property. David has over 45 years experience in property development, project management and construction. Before commencing with McMullin, David was a Director of a successful Melbourne based construction company for over 15 years. He holds a B. Comm. and B. Building from the University of Melbourne and Master of Science in Construction Management from the Reading University (UK).
