General Golf Rules
8. The Club may establish from time to time reciprocal guests’ privileges.
Reciprocal guests are only those guests who hold verifiably a membership within a private club that is recognized as a reciprocal club by Mc C o n n e l l
G o l f. Guests will be entitled to use the Club Facilities only in accordance with the privileges of the membership held at the guest club. Said guest is subject to reciprocal guest fees as determined by the Club from time to time and tee time availability and must be accompanied by a member of Porters Neck Country
Club. The charge request for the visit must also be authorized through the reciprocal club’s pro shop or manager. As per access agreement with each guest club, the guest club is responsible for all charges incurred by its member, his or her guests. As defined within these Rules and Regulations, access is restricted or may be rejected at any time with or without notice or reasons. (See also

9. The Club will have the right to designate other persons who will not count toward membership limits, including, without limitation, partners, officers, employees, club and golf professionals, and designees of the Owner and its affiliates and their guests to use the Club Facilities upon such terms and conditions as may be determined from time to time by the Club.
House Guest Privileges
1. Houseguest privileges will be extended to guests of a member while residing in the member’s residence. The houseguest is a resident in the member’s home for more than one week and up to one month and is visiting the member from a point 50 miles or more from the Club. This provides access to the pool, fitness center, tennis and pickleball. Golf privileges are subject to the aforementioned guest privileges. Weekly fee is $10 per person
General Golf Rules
1. The Rules of Golf as adopted by the USGA together with the Rules of
Etiquette as adopted by the USGA shall be the rules of the Club, except when in conflict with local rules or with any of the rules herein.
2. “Cutting-in” is not permitted at any time. All players must register withthe pro shop prior to teeing-off.
3. Practice is not allowed on the golf course.
4. Speed of play. It is the goal of all players to complete their round of golf in less than four hours. This amount of time is more than adequate, provided all players remain aware of the rights of others to play without delay. It is the responsibility of each group to keep pace with the group ahead. If a group falls one complete hole behind the group ahead, the group should allow the following group to go through. It is each group’s responsibility to keep observant of its position on the course and keep pace. The designated course marshal has the authority to keep play moving at the proper pace for all players’ enjoyment. Players unable to keep proper pace may be requested to

If a player is repeatedly warned for slow-play, the Club may take such action as it deems appropriate, including without limitation, restricting the person’s use of the website’s online tee time system and the golf course during certain times of the day. All players who stop after playing nine holes for any reasons must occupy the next tee before the following players arrive at the tee or they shall lose their position on the golf course and must get permission from the pro shop to resume play.
6. When traveling to a sister McConnell Golf property, non-home club members are expected to play in 4 hours or less, especially during a club’s peak time. Any group that plays in over 4 hours will not be eligible in the future to arrange a peak tee time when trying to secure tee times at a sister property.
7. All players who stop after playing nine holes for any reasons must occupy the next tee before the following players arrive at the tee or they lose their position on the golf course and must get permission from the pro shop to resume play.
8. All tournament play must be approved by the Director of Golf in advance.
9. Enter and leave bunkers at the nearest level point to the green and smooth sand over with a rake upon leaving.
10. Repair all divots, using the sand provided on the golf carts.
11. Repair all ball marks on the green.
12. Searching for balls other than those played by members of the group is not allowed on the course at any time.
13. Each player must have his or her own set of golf clubs. Sets of rental clubs are available in the pro shop.
14. Legal notices of regulating the movement of golf carts must be strictly observed.
15. Proper golf attire is required for all players, as previously described.
16. If lightning is in the area, all play shall cease. Although the pro shop staff may warn players about lightning in the area, of which it is aware, the Club does not assume any duty to detect lightning and warn them. If Club personnel warn players about potential lightning in the area either via an acoustical device or in any other form, players must stop play immediately.
17. Jogging, bicycling, fishing, or recreational walking is not permitted on the golf course at any time.
18. No beverage coolers are permitted on the course unless provided by the
Club. Outside coolers and beverages are prohibited.
