Spring is a time for new life and experiences. As the weather warms up and we shed our winter clothes, new opportunities for fun and growth appear. Welcome in the season with us at the J!
This is a big year for the Jewish community as we celebrate Israel at 75. Mark your calendar for April 30 and join us at Summit Park for a celebration of Israel. Learn more about the community mission to Israel in the summer of 2024. Travel on a bus with your congregation or rabbi, or join the Mayerson JCC and Jewish Federation of Cincinnati on one of our community buses.
We will be kicking off summer with our annual J Classic. Join us for delicious food, pickleball and tennis, fun card games, and of course – golf! We also hope to see you at our annual Jewish Community Night at the Reds.
If you are looking for some new fitness classes to continue working toward your goals, check out our slate of classes that you can build into your everyday life. Women and Weights is back again to help you build a foundation of strength.
We are looking forward to seeing you at these programs and events this Spring! If you haven’t already, sign your child up for Camp at the J—a fun summer they will always remember! Registration is due by May 22, and spots fill up fast.

Skin Benefits of Waxing
Waxing is a way of removing hair temporarily, though the results are typically longer lasting than shaving. Wax is applied to the skin before being removed by cloth strips or by removing the wax itself. Most clients prefer to have waxing done professionally at a spa, where it is quicker and produces better results. Waxing can also cause hair to regrow at a slower rate, resulting in fewer hair removal sessions.
Here are a few ways that waxing benefits your skin:
EXFOLIATION. In addition to removing unwanted hair, waxing also removes the top layer of dry skin cells.
NO CUTS. Waxing doesn’t cut or nick the skin. STUBBLE-FREE SKIN. Shaving cuts hair off at the point where it emerges from the skin. Waxing removes the hair by the root, leaving the skin feeling smoother.
SPRING SPECIAL
Bring in this page to receive 20% off when you receive three or more waxing services in the same visit. All three waxing services must be received by the same client on the same visit. PLUS, refer a friend who visits the J Spa, and you’ll both receive 25% off! Visit the Welcome Desk for more details. This offer cannot be combined with other discounts.
Come to the J Spa for complete relaxation and therapeutic pain relief! Open to the public, the J Spa offers a full array of custom massages, dermaplaning, and waxing services. All modalities are conducted by licensed technicians, specializing in healing your body and refreshing your mind.

Myths & Holidays in Judaism
Thursdays
7pm | Virtual
FREE with RSVP
Ancient Mesopotamia was the cradle of some of the richest human civilizations. Emerging gradually as the first monotheistic religion, Judaism often rejected myths and beliefs prevalent in this region. Others, however, were too prevalent to be rejected all together, and were in fact incorporated and integrated into the new and evolving religion and culture.
In this series, we will follow such myths and traditions, echoing through the Bible and in Jewish customs. We will hear from some of the most interesting researchers exploring the overlap between Jewish traditions and regional epochs, read biblical texts in new
ways, and identify similar influences shared by other religions in the area.
