Key Clubbers get the opportunity to volunteer at local schools and churches for Halloween events
When I first heard about my friends joining Key Club I decided to take a chance and join as well. That decision to join Key Club has made me realize how important it is to be involved in not only your school but yourcommunity.
AfewoftheKeyClubberswhohave volunteered at places like Mission Arlington have mentioned that after seeing the help they’ve given and the amount of impact they’ve made, theyhavechangedasaperson This can include being more involved in service projects and volunteering or evenachangeinpersonality
Service can heavily display how lucky we all are for the things we take for granted everyday since there’s a possibility of seeing people right in front of you who are less fortunate. This can extremely alter the way one thinks about their life andthelivesaroundthem.
Personally, Key C my life because howtoputmyself important it is to around you and m they belong. W mostly about volunteering, it is also aboutbringingpeopletogethertobe somethingbiggerthanthemselves.
Key Club has provided me with incredible opportunities to shape my character and develop leadership skills. During one of our Braum’s Social events, an after school event to get to know fellow members while enjoying some ice cream I was reminded of the importance of inclusivity. While sitting with my friends, I noticed a younger student sitting alone, focused on his homework Since this was a social event, I thought it would be a good idea to invite him to join us. He seemed a bit shy at first, but after some encouragement, he came over.
It turned out to be a great experience, getting to know him in a way I wouldn’t have had the chance to in our crowded school halls. This moment highlighted how Key Club opens doors to meet new people from different grades, electives, and backgrounds.
These experiences gave me a deeper understanding of my role, helping me grow as a leader within and outside of Key Club.
As a Key Club officer, specifically the historian, I had the opportunity to attend Led Texas-Oklahom come toge professional conferences attended tau about leader responsibilitie
My advice to other members is to put yourself out there and make an effort to connect with people you wouldn’t usually interact with. Key Club members already share a common goal of helping the community, so that’s a great starting point. Embrace every opportunity the club offers to meet new people and develop your leadership skills. You never know how these small interactions can positively impact others and shape your own growth
I chose Key Club out of all the organizations because it offers the opportunity to expand your knowledge of community service, and it goes great with getting hours for other organizations/ clubs! Key Club helps to enhance one’s knowledge and experience of volunteer and service. It opens up pathways to getting hours for other things, too. Key Club is a very valuable resource for any student hoping to get involved or get into a good college.
My older sister was in Key Club all four years of high school, and she absolutely loved it! She learned so many advantageous skills working with fellow peers for the shared goal of helping out! Key Club looks great on college/ job/ program applications- it shows your dedication and determination to consistently do good and act good It enables you to actually put meaningful actions behind your words to back them up. Key Club is a nationally recognized organization, with chapters all around the country To be a part of something that big and influential is an honor and a privilege that not everyone gets to take advantage of like
we do. We do, though! So I plan on making the most of my high school years via Key Club and other community outreach programs. Along with getting hours for Key Club to be awarded a graduation cord for when you walk the stage, you can also log your volunteer hours for things like AVID, MYC, Archery, NHS, Stu. Co., etc. Key Club will take you pretty far, but it’s your job to take yourself further! I mostly view it as a resource for greatness; something that will not only help you short term, but long term as well! Key Club can help out with qualifying for and being awarded certain volunteer-type academic scholarships.

ello fellow Key Clubbers!
My Key Club experience so far has been amazing. I love helping and seeing needs I can fulfill within my community. I would say my next steps in this program would be to branch out more with my service hours Donating items to school functions is a great and easy way to earn a few hours when my schedule is packed between school and FFA, but when I have time, I want to really get back into in person service Being out there seeing the needs up close, seeing the appreciation from people, and getting that smile. You just can’t beat it. I have volunteered at food banks, food drive thru’s, senior living facilities, Mission Arlington, Youth programs, and so much more. But simply by searching for local volunteer opportunities the possibilities are endless I never thought to help at a pet store by simply loving on the animals waiting for their forever home. I never thought to become a pen pal or a friend to a senior that doesn’t have anyone I never thought to help deliver food to homebound residents. I never thought to look past the needs that are visible and see the needs that aren’t. I have realized too that I can help others with their journey simply
Hby telling people about what Key Club is all about. Someone may not know we are on campus or what we do. I know I didn’t when I was a freshman. If they are nervous or too shy to ask and if I am open maybe I can make someone feel included and like they belong. The more people that join this program means more help for Arlington and our residents, and that’s what it is about I have always had a heart for service, and I can’t wait to continue to branch out on my Key Club journey.
