The designed building is located in the city of Ljubljana on the main street, Slovenska cesta. The surrounding development is low-rise, exept two buildings across the street that, being tall structures, create a certain dialogue with my project.
The designed building has 19 floors (2 underground), with a height of 70,62 m. The investor of the project is the music group Kronos Quartet, for whom the entire project was created. This is a group characterized by a wide repertoire encompassing various musical styles. In my work, I tried to recognize the group's needs and design a suitably diverse functional program, which, like the group's music, is also very varied. I began the design process by dividing the building into zones: public, private, semi-private, and a music zone-which plays a crucial role in my design. The building starts with a public zone, represented by a restaurant on the ground floor, connecting Slovenska cesta with the park behind the building.
Additionally, the building includes zones such as offices, a gallery, a library, apartments, and a bar, performance halls and practice spaces. Furthermore, I decided to diversify the music zone by creating various showcase rooms: a large showcase hall, a more intimate room with tables, and a showcase area combined with a bar.
All these zones have been designed with multifunctionality in mind, catering to the evolving needs of the group. The dominant areas in the building are undoubtedly the restaurant on the ground floor, inviting people inside, the large glass concert hall visible from the park, and the open rooftop with a bar and dance floor.
The facade has been designed using two types of glass: transparent and reflective. The use of transparent glass allows me to highlight desired areas such as the concert hall and the rooftop restaurant. On the other hand, reflective glass has found its application in private spaces like apartments.
In the first idea, I decided to finish the building in the form of a roof in the shape of irregular arches. No roof, open space. The idea was to create a public place for a bar and a 2-story dance floor. Unfortunately, the problem was height of the last zone, which was disproportionate and scaled in comparison to a human.
In the second idea, I decided to create a simple and regular roof ending, resembling a staircase. Through the shape of the ending, I wanted to emphasize the division of the public zone into 3 parts. In this idea, I opted for a glass roof. There was no longer a problem with the scaled height in relation to the human, but you could still see errors in the proportions of the building. It seemed too heavy to me.
In the last idea, I decided to combine the strong features of the two previous ideas. I decided to create an open roof. In addition, instead of irregular arcs, regular diagonal lines were created. The public zone is of a good scale, there is no overwhelm in relation to the human scale, and at the same time, thanks to the open roof, you can feel the space. In addition, the very proportion of the body seems to be light and definitely more "connected" with the sky.
The process of ending building
The facility is located at Grobla Street in Poznań. It is a historic area with very little greenery. The buildings surrounding the facility mostly have gable roofs, which were an important reference in my project.
The premise of the designed building is to fit in with the neighboring buildings in a modern way, while respecting the historic neighborhood. The building serves as a gallery for contemporary sculptures. The project began with the establishment of the most important rooms and the use of massing to make the art experience even more comfortable.
The most important rooms in the building are: the room of mirrors, the shadow exhibition, the organic exhibition and the café overlooking the garden. The project also paid great attention to the development of the plot, as the goal was to achieve a space full of greenery, which is lacking in the surroundings of other buildings.
The total area of the building is 561 square meters. Materials used for the project include white lacquered sheet metal, lowemission glass walls, which retain heat in the building thanks to the appropriate heat coefficient. Wooden planks were designed for the floors.
Plans
The building consists of two separate blocks connected by a glassed-in lobby. The building is based on footings made of concrete blocks. The exterior walls consist of a masonry wall and mineral wool. The room between the blocks was made of high-quality low-emission glass, which retains heat in the building thanks to the appropriate heat coefficient. In addition, this room was insulated with mineral wool on the adjacent walls of the blocks.

Architectural detail
The project combines the tradition of the place with modern solutions, which at the same time responds to the needs of the residents.
Objects have been designed in the area, which, despite their various functions, fulfill an integral whole, at the same time ordering the space. A building has been created that has an educational function: a place for online work, bookstores, business meetings and workshops. The project also includes a facility that meets the needs of the culturally rich commune of Rawicz. The building located next to the stage is a place for artists, and in the meantime serves as a catering facility. The important part of the market has been preserved, but its modern form is also an ideal meeting place and community building outside of trading time.
Before taking steps related to designing the development of the quarter, land analyzes were prepared to better understand the place and meet the needs of residents. Issues such as: the composition of the terrain, the function of the surrounding buildings, cultural value, communication and greenery were analyzed.
The conclusions of the analyzes were as follows. The urban grid is formed very regularly, repetitive building patterns are visible. Flats are definitely the predominant function of the nearby buildings. The city took care of a welldeveloped public transport network. In addition, analyzes have shown that this area is exceptionally rich not only because of the surrounding greenery, but also because of the culture of the place.

The project presents the construction design of a singlefamily, two-story house. During the project I performed such tasks as: making drawings in AutoCAD, showing all layers, selecting appropriate certified materials available on the Polish market, calculating heat transfer (by walls or ceiling, among others) and dimensioning. The project also includes information on routed ventilation, drainage or building drainage.
The purpose of the project was to produce drawings and documentation needed to obtain a building permit. The documentation includes such issues as: purpose and utility program, architectural form and function of the object, structural layout of the building, solutions for the main elements of construction and installation equipment, energy characteristics of the object and fire protection conditions,
