Egitto: nuove costruzioni a New El Alamein La società di costruzioni statale egiziana Hassan Allam ha stretto una collaborazione con la Orascom Construction per la costruzione di nuovi edifici governativi a New El Alamein, città a Nord Est de Il Cairo. La prima fase del progetto includerà la realizzazione delle nuove sedi del Governo e del Consiglio del Presidente, oltre alla costruzione di tre mega-edifici che ospiteranno altre autorità amministrative governative. L’inaugurazione della nuova “cittadella del potere” egiziana è prevista entro l’estate, per una piena operatività da attuarsi entro la fine del 2019. La consulenza per i servizi di progettazione esecutiva e di ingegneria strutturale è stata affidata alla Sabbour Consulting, società di engineering con sede a Il Cairo.
Veneto seconda regione per investimenti “green” Secondo il rapporto Greenitaly 2017 (Fondazione Symbola - Unioncamere), il Veneto è la seconda regione in Italia per numero di imprese che hanno effettuato investimenti in prodotti e tecnologie green nel periodo 20112017: sono infatti oltre 35.000 le aziende che credono nella filosofia della produttività sostenibile, di cui 6570 nella provincia di Verona, ovvero il 28,7% di tutte le imprese del territorio provinciale. Un tema, quello dell’impatto ambientale dei prodotti, che riguarda trasversalmente tutti i comparti e che investe direttamente un comparto come quello marmifero che, pur vantando la provenienza naturale dei propri materiali, deve attrezzarsi per rispondere in modo esaustivo ai protocolli “green building” più diffusi.
Egypt: new buildings in New El Alamein Egypt’s state building company, Hassan Allam, has signed a cooperation agreement with Orascom Construction to build new government buildings in New El Alamein, a city northeast of Cairo. The first stage of the project will include new headquarters for government and the president as well as three megabuildings to house other government authorities. Inauguration of the new “power fortress” is expected by summer and will be fully operative by the end of 2019. Sabbour Consulting, headquartered in Cairo, provided consultancy for executive design and structural engineering.
Veneto, the number two region for “green” investments According to the 2017 Greenitaly report (published by the Fondazione Symbola – Unioncamere), Veneto was the second-ranking region in Italy for the number of companies investing in green products and technologies from 2011 to 2017: in fact, more than 35,000 companies believe in sustainable production and 6570 of them are in the province of Verona, accounting for 28.7% of the province’s total. The issue of the environmental impact of products, which involves all sectors, is of particular importance in the stone sector, which, while able to boast of the natural provenance of its materials, must also be equipped to exhaustively respond to the most commonly used “green building” criteria.
