2025-2026
Our team is dedicated to advancing Marmion’s mission by generating the vital voluntary support needed to sustain Marmion Abbey, Marmion Academy, and the Guatemala Mission.
We lead events, drive marketing and social media outreach, recruit passionate volunteers, and most importantly, build meaningful relationships with those who believe in Marmion’s purpose. Our goal is to connect individuals with opportunities to invest in the future of Marmion— and we proudly serve as tireless ambassadors for this incredible mission.
The majority of our funding is directed towards the Academy. Tuition currently covers only about 72% of the actual cost to educate each student, leaving an annual gap of $2M—or approximately $5,000 per student. This shortfall is bridged each year through generous gifts to the MARMION FUND. Contributions that go beyond this are used as directed by the donor or the area of greatest need. This often includes the Guardian Angel Financial Aid Fund, academic and extracurricular program enhancements, and campus maintenance.
Gifts to Marmion Abbey support essential needs such as healthcare, educational formation for younger monks, and the care and upkeep of monastic facilities.
The Guatemala Mission is sustained entirely through donations from supporters in the U.S. The monks of the San José Priory serve the native population of Quetzaltenango by offering a youth retreat center, spiritual counseling, a Spanish language school for visiting U.S. church ministers, and much-needed pastoral care for local communities.

Tuition on average only covers 72% of the cost of educating our students. Contributions by our alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends to the MARMION FUND are essential to help us meet and exceed the needs of our students. When you receive the MARMION FUND mailing, please consider a gift to support the great work of the monks and faculty/staff.

Marmion is proud to have joined the #GivingTuesday movement since its inception back in 2012. Because of the generosity of our Marmion family, we have raised over $300K in necessary funds to continue to provide financial assistance to students who need it, in order to realize a Marmion education. We understand there are a great many charities out there, but we humbly ask that you consider donating to Marmion on December 2nd where your donation will be used wisely and efficiently.
May 12-13, 2026
This 36-hour day of giving is essential to Marmion’s fundraising efforts. All funds raised during our Day of Giving go directly to the MARMION FUND. This is a virtual event, with many social media posts and email blasts updating you on our progress and informing you of our need. Please consider donating to Marmion on May 12-13, 2026, during our 36-hour Day of Giving.

Salute to Youth is a time-honored tradition at Marmion and the longest running high school benefit in the Chicagoland area. This elegant evening highlights the graduating seniors and is Marmion’s largest annual fundraiser. Salute to Youth is an all-inclusive event! The evening begins with a reception which includes bountiful hors d’ oeuvres and open bar, followed by a 4-course dinner with wine.
This event could not happen without a small army of volunteers. If you are looking for something fun to get involved in this is your opportunity. Please review the committee descriptions below:
Invitation Committee: Fun committee that is responsible for assembly of the invitations for mailing.
Guard of Honor Committee: An integral part of the planning process, members of this committee are asked to assist with Tuxedo Fitting day, Tuxedo Pick up day, and the evening of Salute (if possible). This is a fun committee with heavy interaction with the Marmion seniors.
Court of Honor Committee: This committee assists with Dress Rehearsal, which takes place on a Sunday in April at 3:00 PM. Committee members inspect the ladies’ dresses, shoes, jewelry, etc. and help the students practice.
Night of Event Committee: This important committee requires volunteers to attend Salute to Youth.
