There was a lot being done manually. A lot of homemade spreadsheets and pulling information from here and there, rather than using your till system to do that for you. We needed to modernise the system: part of the problems we were having was due to old hardware.

The tills used to freeze all the time, we used to get a lot of drop transactions because the tills weren’t keeping up with the card machines, so there were a lot of discrepancies. That has completely been eradicated. Some of the innovations, like the Dojo Pockets, are really popular with the team because it’s a lot simpler than it used to be.
