EarlyInterventionService providesafamilycentredandholistic support system for children with developmental disabilities or delays in the first five years of life to minimize the delays and maximize the chances of reaching typical milestones in development. It also supports and implements screening procedures to increase the early identification of difficulties. Furthermore, the service provides support to the families of referred children residing, or attending primary school, in the Maria Regina College area. Psychotherapy Services are offered in schools within our college by Ms Marica Busietta and Dr Alessandra Sammut Muscat. The team works together with the students, individually or in groups on several issues, including bereavement, trauma, mental health, emotional issues and other life circumstances that students face. Career Guidance services offer a variety of initiatives that encourage students to inform themselves and reflect on their futurecareersandaspirations.Wesupportstudentsindecisionmaking processes and organise activities such as transition exercises, one-to-one career guidance sessions, subject choice, post-secondaryfairandthecareerexposureexperience.

Ms Lara Borg Fenech is the Anti-Bullying guidance teacher at Maria Regina college. The role of the anti-bullying guidance teacher is to work with the school SLT, guidance team and psychosocial team, to try and prevent cases of bullying, and whenthebullyingcasesarisetosupportboththevictimandthe alleged perpetrator so that such incidents do not repeat themselves. Apart from interventions, different initiatives are taken together with the school to take a proactive role in preventing bullying and raising awareness on how to be an upstanderandtakeastandagainstbullying. lara.fenech@ilearn.edu.mt
