Sebastian, a boy from the village¹ he was walking home where his mother expected him. When he was almost coming home, he heard an alarm. It was the tropical storm alarm! Hardly everyone heard the alarm; they all ran out of their homes. Many pushed² Sebastian to go faster and others yelled at him not to get in the way in the street.

When he finally got home, his mother wasn't there. Scared by the storm and not finding his mother, he ran out to go through each door to see if he could find her. Tired of not finding her, he returned home and sat on a chair, while thinking about all the good times he spent with his mother. From far away he heard a big noise, ''Is that's water...?'' Sebastian wondered. Just then, he saw a lot of water heading towards him. Without much thought, he ran to the top of his house, his roof.

............................. A Christmas Present pt. 2

- Christmas - Hope - Our - Season - Falls - Joy - Peace - Snow

Soon after that, he began to see the houses of his neighbors that were flooded. He also saw logs and animals passing by floating in the water. Time passed, the wind blew and he could not stop thinking about his mother, and so the night came and passed. At dawn, with the first rays of sun, Sebastian saw a small boat. ''Hey boy!'' said an unknown voice. Sebastian got a little closer to the border of the roof and realized that that voice belonged to one of the rescuers who came for him, ''Jump! said one of them. Sebastián jumped into the boat. When he arrived at the shelter, Sebastián felt joy, when he saw that his mother was there. When she saw him, she opened his arms and received him with these words: ''Don't worry son, everything will go well. We will move forward; God will not forsake us.'' After hearing these words, Sebastian felt peace and hope in his heart. Days later Christmas came, and although they had lost all their material things, they had each other; the fact of having a new beginning and being together was more than enough to feel great joy and peace 4
