Biography Jon Scieszka (1954). Jon Scieszka was born in Flint, Michigan, on September 8th, 1954. He has five siblings. He graduated from Columbia University with a Master of Fine Arts in 1980. He has been a professor like his father. He and his wife Jerilyn, an art director, have two children. He is an American author of picture books and fiction books. Lane Smith is a writer and illustrator famous for his style and ability to reinvent classic stories and give them his own irreverent tone. He studied art at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.

Summary This story tells the life of 3 little pigs who were brothers, each made their own homes. The youngest made it of straw, the middle one made it of wood and the oldest made it of brick. The 2 brothers made fun of the older brother who was struggling to make his house. Then the wolf came to the house of the little pigs and went for each house and collapsed the 2 houses of the 2 brothers, they went to the house of their older brother and they hid, the wolf blew and blew but he could not collapse it, so he made the decision to enter through the chimney, the little pigs put under the chimney a pot with boiling water, the wolf went down the chimney and fell into the boiling water and then ran away from there and never come back.

SOCIAL AND HISTORICAL CONTEXT OF “THE THREE LITTLE PIGS”

: The social context of the story would be that at that time the pigs and the wolves had a dispute over what they hated, in the plot the pigs were very calm and only protected and the wolves were the ones who attacked, so the pigs were guarded.

: The story is based on the time of 2 centuries ago, in the 19th century, which represents the style of construction and clothing and the rest, some say that it is based on even a long time before but it was until 1933 that Disney published it as the final form.

Facts section ➢ This story was born in England but where it really succeeded

was in the United States thanks to the Disney adaptation. ➢ The original tale ends with the "Big Bad Wolf" boiled in a pot

and eaten by the three little pigs. But this time it was not Disney, but Jacobs who adapted the story so that the "big bad wolf" came down the chimney and burned his tail. ➢ They used the "Big Bad Wolf" as a symbol of their life's struggle.

With the success of this story, it is not uncommon for all kinds of versions to have come out, including books like The Three Little Wolves and the Ferocious Pig.
