Rowan Class Reading
PE
To give your child the best chance of being at the expected level in Reading at the end of Reception we are asking you to ensure that your child reads at home at least 4 times a week but ideally every day. So that we can keep track of how often children read please sign your child’s reading diary or add a note / photo on your child’s portfolio on ClassDojo every time you read with them at home.
We will be doing PE with our sports coach every Thursday. Please ensure that your child arrives at school wearing their PE kit every Thursday.
Please make sure that your child:
• brings their reading books and reading diary to school every day • brings a sun hat to school every day • brings a coat to school on cooler or rainy days
Forest
• has a water bottle in school every day
This term we will be visiting our Forest area on Friday afternoons.
• has a complete change of clothes (including underwear and socks) in their locker

We will put reminders onto ClassDojo. Please ensure your child arrives at school wearing suitable clothing on those dates. Trousers, a long sleeved top, a waterproof coat (an all-in-one is ideal) and a sun hat . They should wear shoes to school and bring their welly boots in a named bag.
