WEEKLY BULLETIN

Friday

Dear Parents and Carers, In recent assemblies and staff meetings, I have been sharing our school vision and values in order to remind our school community about what we stand for and aim to achieve. As our parent and carer community, it is important for you to see what we are about too. We strive to engender an infectious, lifelong, enthusiasm for learning creating a community with ambition, a sense of self-worth, belief and personal growth. We expect our staff to:  Teach consistently good lessons;  Have the highest expectations for all students;  Always display excellent professional conduct and behave as role models for our students;  Hold the highest expectations of tutor groups by taking ownership of attendance and attitudes to learning for all students in that group. We expect our students to:  Attend school everyday and be on time to all lessons;  Always wear the correct uniform and bring the correct equipment to school;  Show good attitudes to learning in all lessons;  Conduct themselves with respect, politeness, consideration and kindness. Together we are all working towards achieving this by living the core values of our school. We describe our values as ‘the way we do things at The Grove’ and you can see these below.

Chromebooks At The Grove School we are committed to developing 21st Century Learners: confident, collaborative, independent and digitally literate young people who are fully equipped for future study and work in the modern world. The Chromebook 1-1 Programme is designed to give our students access to the learning tools and online resources that can help further their progress. One of the key objectives of this programme is to give parents/carers choice over which device they would prefer their son/daughter to have. We have worked with the creators of the programme to offer a choice of devices that will integrate with the learning tools that we are providing. For further information, please click here.
