DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS

The Department of Physics started in the year 1989 as an integral part of Noorul Islam College of Engineering, is now under the roof of Noorul Islam Centre for Higher Education. The department aims to equip the students with theoretical aspects of Physics and its application to Science, Engineering and Technology. The Department has a pool of well-qualified and dedicated faculty members. The faculty members are well-experienced and dedicated to Teaching and Research. They have undergone training at NPL, IITs and also participated in Refresher Courses on Experimental Physics sponsored by Indian National Science Academy. The laboratory is well-equipped to cater to the needs of students and to carry out Research activities. The department is active in various areas of research particularly in areas like Nanomaterials, Density Functional Theory, Renewable Energy, 2D Materials, MultiFunctional Materials, Polymer Composites, Crystal Growth and Applied Spectroscopy.
