GYM CLASSES RETURNING

The West Melton Gymnastics Club is excited to be bringing gymnastics back to the Darfield Community in Term 1, 2023. Classes will begin on Thursday, February 9th, and will be held at the Darfield Recreation and Community Centre. Initially, classes will run from Thursday to Saturday during term time, catering for children from preschool age to around eight years old. The Club plans to extend this to be able to cater for older children as soon as possible depending on demand and securing some additional resources.

West Melton Gymnastics Club is now based at their permanent facility in Rolleston, where they have been since 2018, after beginning in the former West

Melton Community Centre in 2008. The Club has been working on options for a satellite site in Darfield during 2022 and are now looking forward to getting classes underway. Head Coach Cindy Miller would like to thank Fleur Earl from Selwyn District Council for her support.

West Melton Gymnastics Club brings numerous years of experience providing excellent recreational gymnastics tuition and their team of experienced Coaches, with a view to grow the team locally. As well as bringing the fun, fitness and community of gymnastics to the local children, these classes also offer an opportunity for local interested students to develop their skills with youth and junior coaching opportunities.

The Club welcome the community of Darfield and surrounding areas to their free Darfield Gym Open Day on Saturday, January 28th, at the Darfield Recreation and Community Centre. So head along to have a go and meet the team. The team are also very keen to hear your feedback, requests and ideas to help grow these highly anticipated classes.
