Local golfer, Dominic Brettkelly competed in the New Zealand leg of the 2022/2023 Adidas Junior 6s Tour at the Royal Wellington Gold Club on January 15th - 17th. This was the second leg of the Tour and was where former Tour player turned commentator Ewan Porter founded the circuit.

This was Dominic’s first tournament for the year, and he said it felt good to dust off the sticks, winning the 19-25 Boys division. This earnt Dominic a spot in the World Final in November at Terrey Hills Golf and Country Club.

The competitors played 18 holes of Strokeplay, with points on the year long race awarded to a number of players, and the top boys and girls finishers went head-to-head in a six hole match for the title and additional points.

Dominic also finished second in the Taranaki Strokeplay this week with rounds of 72, 70 and 72, and he felt his game was more on track this match. Next up for Dominic is the
