KIRWEE BOWLING
Hastings Open this coming week, and then he plans to head to Australia and Europe for three or four months to see how he goes on the overseas golf scene.
The bowling season is progressing well for bowlers from Kirwee Bowling Club, with the women finishing their Fours and Triples competitions, and the men their Triples, while other competitions are close to a conclusion. The Women’s Pairs would be over by now, except that there has to be a three-way play-off to determine the winner! Four successful tournaments have also been held to date.

The Club has begun its Community Bowls series, where they welcome anyone in the district to come along on Fridays from 5:30pm for a fun night of social bowling and a sausage sizzle. People are put into teams when they arrive, and novices can be teamed up with experienced bowlers. For enquiries, phone Yvonne on 318 1321.

There is also the big Charity Bowls Tournament to look forward to. This time the Kirwee Community Hall will benefit from the funds raised. It is a chance for non-bowlers to find out if the game is really as easy as it looks! The organisers are planning on holding four short games, followed by a barbecue dinner, with bowling prizes, raffles and a silent Auction.
Anyone interested in entering can contact Marian Galloway on 021 0241 0846.
