All Malo products are crafted entirely in Italy at sites in Florence and Piacenza, and Malo yarns are spun from the finest fibres in the world, hand selected in Mongolia and woven in Italy.

“Hands want to see, eyes want to caress”. This literary citation, taken from Goethe’s Roman Elegies V, best expresses the Tuscan brand’s philosophy. The clothing is crafted entirely in Italy. The company has two main sites based in Campi Bisenzio, Florence and near Piacenza, and each site upholds the Malo brand’s values: made-in-Italy products, excellence, handcraftsmanship and care to details.

Male uses certain English looms built in the 70s, with finishing by hand, to ensure high quality, unique products.

The old machineries is a precious value of the brand, creating unique sweaters made as in the past.

In addition to these two production sites, which the company directly controls, a network of different small, highly specialised and well-trusted italian companies form an integral part of Malo’s production network.

The first step - and one of the most important - in the production of Malo apparel is the choice of yarn.

The finest yarns are sourced in Mongolia, and the Florentine company purchases the raw fibre locally. It is collected by hand in the spring when Cashmere goats shed their winter coat – and it is processed directly in Italy in a production chain under Malo’s meticulous oversight.
