Auction item check-out for silent and live items will begin at the conclusion of the live auction. Unless stated, restaurant, hotel and service (limo, etc.) certificates do not include taxes or gratuity. All hotel stays, event bookings and experiences are subject to availability. Some items have limitations or exclusions, so please read the descriptions and certificate restrictions carefully. While every effort has been made to describe each item correctly, all items and services are sold “as-is.” Acceptance of a winning bid for a silent or live auction item will constitute a legally binding contract between Make-A-Wish® Orange County and the Inland Empire and the winning bidder. The auction committee and the auctioneer reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to remove any item from the silent and live auctions prior to sale. By his or her purchase, the buyer waives any claims for liabilities against either Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire or the donor of the respective item or service. Neither Make-A-Wish nor the donor is responsible for any personal injury or damage to property that may result from use of the item(s) or service(s) sold. For all items, the invoice will contain a fair market value assessment (usually made by the donor) as well as the paid price. It is the winner’s responsibility to handle all tax deduction matters. If no fair market value is shown, a tax adviser should be consulted. All sales are final. Exchanges, extensions, refunds, or substitutions from donors are not permitted. Items are not redeemable for cash. Tax deductible amounts are limited to the amount paid for an item in excess of over the fair market value listed on your receipt. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser, and at that time is responsible for payment and pick-up of the item. There will be no refunds or exchanges. Auction Check-Out If you pre-registered a credit card: Your card will be charged for the item you have won/purchased. When the program is over, you will check out using your last name. We will ask you to sign a receipt indicating that you have received the items. Receipts will be emailed once the charge is complete. If you have not pre-registered a card: Your items will be available at the end of the program at the check-out table. You will check out using your last name and will be able to pay for your items with cash, check, or a credit card at that time. An automated receipt will be sent to you via email that night. We will ask you to sign a receipt indicating that you have received the items.
