BERLIN, CITY OF CONTRASTS BERLIN, VILLE DES CONTRASTES Board a plane in Luxembourg and lay down your suitcases 2 hours later in the amazing German capital! Daily Luxair flights are operated from Luxembourg airport. Prenez l'avion à Luxembourg et déposez vos valises 2 heures plus tard dans l'étonnante capitale allemande! Chaque jour, des vols sont opérés par Luxair au départ de Luxembourg. Berlin is vibrant and cosmopolitan, with tremendous cultural and historic heritage. Its eclectic architecture, combining vestiges of the past with brand new buildings from the reconstruction era reflects the successive demolitions and modifications which have taken place over the course of history. The city is pockmarked by parks, vast avenues lined with trees and cycle paths that enable one to admire it from another angle or simply take a breath of fresh air. Berlin was once the cultural capital of Europe, and numerous styles of entertainment rub shoulders there. The Berlin cabaret tradition is still alive and kicking, as at the Stachelschweine, Distel or Wühlmäuse.

Landmarks No stay in Berlin is complete without a visit to the Reichstag, the seat of the Parliament of reunified Germany, Unter den Linden Avenue and the Brandenburg Gate. Located between two arms of the Spree, Berlin’s Museum Island has one of the most extensive cultural complexes in the world, but other museums of note in the city include the Kulturforum National Gallery, the Jewish Museum and the Museum of Ethnography. Friedrichstraße, with its luxury boutiques, the enormous skyscrapers of the Potsdamer Platz and the famous Kurfürstendamm shopping street are an absolute must for shopping whereas bohemian spirits will feel comfortable in the neighbourhoods of Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain. This is also where one finds the greatest section of the former Berlin Wall, and the East Side Gallery where so many artists have exhibited their works.
