A community centre is designed that would serve as a social and cultural hub for the culturally rich population of Walled City, Lahore. The centre is envisioned as a place where a community which is already well connected can meet and flourish in profound ways. Individuals ranging from different religions and means of businesses, come under the same roof to enjoy and observe the contemporary life of the Old City. Every neighborhood is in need to accommodate for progressive demands of their inhabitants hence this centre would mainly revolve around the arts and crafts of the old city where individuals can benefit from. Following the concept of Flaneur, "a person who walks the city in order to experience it"
The IBA Student’s Centre Karachi Pakistan | Najmi Bilgrami Collaborative double height spaces create visual interaction and the use of framing the outside environment
At first glance it appears as if the building emerges from the ground; pockets of green space introduced on the roof as well and collectively
CONCLUSION : Through this I will be incorporating 1 visual fluidity in the spaces The concept of 2 framing the outside views especially as our site is located right beside Lahore Fort 3 use of double heighted spaces for multipurpose halls and main lobby Thus a complete facility for recreational respite and “to create a space which encourages social interaction ”
"we work in this moti bazaar, our warehouses are here & whilst some of us live here some of us come from Taj bagh or Samanabad We would support any center that help us Most of us socialise here after work till 9-10pm "

Baudelaire identified the flâneur in his essay as the dilettante observer The flâneur carried a set of rich associations: the man of leisure, the idler, the urban explorer, the connoisseur of the street "
