As we come to the end of a busy and rewarding half-term, I want to take a moment to reflect on all that our school community has achieved together. It has been a term filled with momentum, pride, and a shared commitment to ensuring that every child at Trinity Catholic School continues to thrive We have seen classrooms full of purposeful learning and students rising to academic challenges with curiosity and confidence Staff have worked tirelessly to ensure that lessons are ambitious and engaging, and it has been wonderful to see students responding so positively.
Our school culture continues to strengthen, with students showing greater pride in their behaviour, respect for one another, and dedication to representing Trinity with kindness and maturity This has been especially evident in the growing number of leadership opportunities across the school. We have introduced the Big Sister Project, where senior girls are supporting and mentoring younger girls as positive role models. We have also seen excellent participation from Years 7–9 in stewardship roles, taking responsibility for our school environment and community Many students have proudly earned their Headteacher Badges, recognising their commitment, service, and contribution to the life of the school These moments of leadership and character in action reflect the values we want every Trinity student to embody
This half-term has also brought new opportunities beyond the classroom Whether through sports fixtures, creative arts performances, chaplaincy events, leadership programmes, or charity activities, students have shown their talents, service, and spirit These experiences enrich our school community and reflect the heart of who we are.
I want to offer my sincere thanks to our staff, governors, the Magnificat MAC, our families, and most of all our students Your continued support, determination, and belief in what we are building here are what allow our school to keep moving forward with purpose and optimism.
As we look ahead to the next half-term, we ask for your continued partnership to ensure that every child is set up to succeed We want to see pupil attendance continue to improve, and all pupils arriving prepared and ready for learning every day. Please also make every effort to attend school events, workshops, and information evenings – these are vital opportunities for us to work together in support of your child’s success
Next term, we look forward to a number of exciting careers and aspiration events, giving students the chance to explore future pathways and be inspired by new possibilities We will also be supporting our Year 11 students as they move into the mock examination period, encouraging them to revise with focus, confidence, and resilience.
We encourage all parents and carers to stay closely connected with school life by reading our fortnightly newsletters and following Trinity Catholic School on social media This is the best way to stay informed about upcoming events, celebrations, and opportunities. In addition, we are still recruiting new members to join our Governing Body and our Parents' and Carers' Board (PCAB) If you are passionate about supporting our continued improvement and growth, we would be delighted to hear from you Please contact the school office for further details
Thank you once again for your ongoing support I hope you all enjoy a restful and refreshing break We look forward to welcoming everyone back with renewed energy and shared ambition.
Warm regards,

Mrs Beth Sharpe

Half-term is the perfect time to take a breath, recharge, and reset Here are some ideas to help you make the most of your break.
Rest and Recharge
Sleep in (a little): Let your body catch up on rest, but try not to completely lose your routine
Have quiet time: Read, listen to music, draw, or just relax without screens for a while.
Go outside: Fresh air and daylight can lift your mood and help you feel more energised
Make time for hobbies you haven’t had space for during term baking, gaming, painting, or playing an instrument.
Try something new just for fun a new recipe, a podcast, or a local event. Creativity is a great stress reliever!
Move Your Body
You don’t have to “work out” just move! Go for a walk, dance around, kick a ball, or cycle with friends.
Physical activity helps reduce stress and boost your energy levels
Look After Your Mind
Take a break from screens now and then. Try a “no-phone hour” each day. Practice mindfulness: Apps like Headspace or Calm can help you relax.
Journal: Write down your thoughts, what you’re grateful for, or what’s been going well
Connect with People
Spend time with family or friends who make you feel good. Catch up with someone you haven’t seen in a while. Talk about how you’re feeling sharing helps lighten the load
Prepare (Gently) for What’s Next
If you have assignments or exams coming up, plan small chunks of time to review or get organised.
Don’t let work take over your whole week - balance is key! Use a planner to set aside “study-free” days
And most importantly - Be kind to yourself! Half-term is your time to pause and recharge so you can return feeling refreshed and ready. Take care of yourself body, mind, and heart.

As we approach the half-term break, please remember that support is always available. If you need any advice, guidance, or someone to talk to, don’t hesitate to reach out to a member of our Safeguarding Team

Year 10 GCSE photographers have been working with light and colour as part of their 'flower' unit. Mr Unsworth has been really impressed with their involvement and some very clever and imaginative responses.
