Dear Trinity Catholic School Community,

As we come to the end of November and prepare to enter the season of Advent, I want to take a moment to reflect on the dedication, positivity, and achievement that have shaped this term at Trinity It has been truly heartwarming to witness the enthusiasm of our students, the commitment of our staff, and the ongoing support of our families Together, we continue to strengthen a school community we can all be proud of.
Our students have shone brightly across every area of school life academics, sports, creative arts, and leadership From the inspiring work of the Big Sister Project to the many stewardship and chaplaincy opportunities, our young people consistently demonstrate kindness, responsibility, and maturity It has been wonderful to award numerous Headteacher Badges to students who have gone above and beyond. Their enthusiastic involvement in extracurricular activities from sporting fixtures and art projects to community and faith events speaks volumes about their dedication
This term, we also launched our Pupil Voice Councils, providing students with a meaningful platform to share their views, shape school development, and respond to recent changes. The feedback so far has been thoughtful, constructive, and reflective of the pride our students take in their school We look forward to using their insights to continue improving the Trinity experience for everyone.
As we move into Advent, this is a time of preparation, reflection, and renewed purpose I warmly encourage everyone to support our Reverse Advent Calendar initiative, with each tutor group collecting 24 items to support families and individuals in need this Christmas It is a powerful way for us to live out our values and share hope with others.
At the same time, this period calls for continued focus and perseverance. I ask all students to maintain their momentum, work hard, and build on the successes they have achieved so far Our careers and aspiration programmes will continue to broaden horizons, and our Year 11 students will soon undertake their second set of mock exams in the new year an important milestone that requires commitment and consistent effort. We are also looking forward to our Festive Christmas Lunch on 17th December, a much-loved Trinity tradition Please ensure sufficient funds are available on ParentPay for your child to take part.
I encourage parents and carers to stay connected with school life through our newsletters and social media channels
As winter approaches, let us continue to prioritise health and wellbeing Strengthening our immune systems, practising good hygiene, and nurturing mental resilience will help keep our community safe, healthy, and energised
Thank you for your unwavering support As we enter Advent, let us work together to remain focused, grateful, and hopeful, building on our successes and looking forward to the opportunities ahead I wish you a peaceful Advent season and look forward to the continued growth and achievements of our wonderful school community
Warm Regards,

Mrs Beth Sharpe

Waystostayhealthy,energised,andsafeduringthewintermonths:
1 Strengthen Your Immune System
Eat nutrient-rich foods:
Lots of fruit and vegetables (oranges, kiwis, leafy greens)
Foods with zinc and vitamin D (nuts, seeds, eggs, yogurt)
Stay hydrated:
It’s easy to forget water in winter - aim for regular sips throughout the day.
Get enough sleep:
8 - 10 hours helps your body fight off illness and keep energy steady
2 Take Care of Mental Health
Winter can feel isolating or gloomy.
Get natural light daily - even 10 minutes outside helps
Keep a routine, including study, leisure, and rest time
Stay connected with friends and family.
Try creative outlets (journaling, music, art).
If you feel persistently low, talk to a trusted adult
3 Dress Smart for the Weather
Layering is key:
Base layer (keeps you dry)
Warm layer (like fleece or wool)
Waterproof/windproof outer layer
Also: gloves, scarf, warm socks, and weather-appropriate shoes.
4. Practice Good Hygiene
Wash hands frequently to avoid winter viruses
Avoid touching your face when possible
Carry hand sanitiser for school or bus rides.

We had a fantastic evening of basketball on Monday as our U15s secured a 28–16 win against Southam It was a really close and competitive game, with both teams playing brilliantly and the score sitting at a tight 14–12 going into the final quarter.
In the last ten minutes, our players found an extra burst of energy and pulled away with some excellent teamwork and determination. MVP Adam R rounded off the game by scoring our final baskets
Well done to the whole team It was a great performance and something to be very proud of!

This week in Art, Key Stage 4 students have been working on a beautiful ceramic sheep sculpture. They explored form, texture, and surface detail, resulting in a striking piece that showcases their growing confidence and creativity in ceramics

Our Year 7 students have been exploring colour and pattern through Aboriginalinspired dot painting. They experimented with a range of colour combinations and techniques to create rhythm and movement, resulting in vibrant and expressive artworks that showcase their growing creativity.
