colocou o Estado do Pará numa mistura da Amazônia e LEDs de aparelhagem de tecnobrega na coleção de verão 2013 na SPFW? Uma mostra da forte relação entre moda e cultura na cena nacional é o trabalho da alagoana Martha Medeiros com a renda, em várias técnicas como a filé, richilieu, bilro e a delicadíssima renda Boa Noite – hoje confeccionada apenas na Ilha do Ferro, no meio do São Francisco – em belas peças trabalhadas individual e manualmente. Cabe ainda enfatizar a coleção de verão da pernambucana Rush Praia para o verão 2013-2014, que estampou seu beachwear de modelagem arrojada e urbana com o melhor de Pernambuco: uma caminhada pelos ícones da cultura local, um apanhado de ícones variados do sertão ao litoral. A estamparia e o movimento das peças reavivaram o berço da marca, o amor pela literatura de Ariano Suassuna e da presença forte dos mosaicos de porcelana portuguesa na arquitetura do casario antigo e de algumas Igrejas da capital. A coleção ainda contempla estampas-homenagens à fauna, à manufatura que dá forma ao artesanato, ao patrimônio imaterial de Olinda - a primeira capital brasileira da cultura - e às belezas naturais do Arquipélago de Fernando de Noronha.
Pernambuco: a walk for the icons of the local culture, a bunch of varied icons of the backwoods to the coast. The printshop and the movement of the pieces brightened up the cradle of the mark, the love for the literature of Ariano Suassuna and of the strong presence of the mosaics of Portuguese porcelain in the architecture of the ancient house and of some Churches of the capital. The collection still contemplates prints-tributes to the fauna, to the manufacture that gives form to the craftwork, to the immaterial inheritance of Olinda - the first Brazilian capital of the culture - and to the natural beauties of the Archipelago of Fernando de Noronha.
O Brasil é um gigante cultural. A cena urbana das capitais funde cultura local e renovação num ritmo acelerado, fruto da conhecida mistura da colonização europeia, das trocas de valores sociais e do desenvolvimento. O nordeste em si tem grande peso na formação cultural do país. Do litoral ao sertão, na Amazônia e no cerrado, não cabe nos dedos das mãos contar a riqueza produzida: o cordel, o repente, a renda, o bordado, o couro, o trançado, o fuxico, a prosa, o forró, o frevo, o maracatu, o axé... E a moda local nada mais é do que uma grande porta-estandarte dessa riqueza.

Muito embora, em meio a tanto material e potencial a ser explorado, nem o mercado criativo da moda brasileira valoriza o que tem - na tentativa de ganhar visibilidade e projeção mundial preferem usar padrões importados – nem a mídia nacional reforça e incentiva a produção nacional. O cultural aqui é apenas bibelô para turista, quando na verdade deveria ser a veste da alma verde-amarela, encoberta agora pelo copia-cola do padrão e cadeia internacionais. Tá na hora de acordar e botar pra frente o projeto da criação e valorização da identidade da moda multicultural brasileira, aposta certeira para que o sucesso bata na porta e solidifiquem os alicerces que tentam ser levantados sem êxito há tantos anos.
Brazil is a cultural giant. The urbane scene of the capitals fuses local culture and renovation in a quick rhythm, result of the acquaintance mixes of the European colonization, of the exchanges of social values and of the development. The northeast in you has great weight in the cultural formation of the country. From the coast to the backwoods, in the Amazon region and in the scrubland, it does not suit the fingers of the hands to count the produced wealth: the string, the outburst, the income, the embroidery, the leather, the woven one, the gossip, the prose, the dance, the clamour, the maracatu, the axé... And the local fashion nothing any more is of what a great standard-bearer of this wealth. Very much though, amid so much material and potential being explored, creative market of the Brazilian fashion values what has - in the attempt to gain visibility and world-wide projection the creators prefer to use imported standards – not even the national media reinforces and stimulates the national production. The cultural thing here is only an ornament for tourist, when there in fact should be the garment of the yellow-green soul, when copy-glue international of the standard and chain was covered up now for.
