Delivering mechanical synergy Seeing a mechanical engineering synergy between his two companies has led Chris Welch to brand Bricon Engineering and The Trailer Shop together as the Bricon Engineering Group. Bricon Engineering NZ has been in operation for more than 40 years. They are specialists in the remanufacture and repair of steering rack ends and suspension and steering components, including tie rod ends/ball joint remanufacture and engine mount remanufacture. The company’s work saves its automotive industry clients substantial time and money, allowing vehicles to get back into operation quickly and at anything up to a third of the cost of replacement parts. “A client simply needs to remove the worn part from a vehicle and courier it to us for repair or remanufacture to ‘as new’ standard,” Chris says. “We can often incorporate improvements we have developed over the years ensuring maximum life for the part and safety of operation. Our work is Land Transport Authority approved for all vehicles, including heavy goods, commercial, service and passenger vehicles. We have even worked on cranes and container lifts.
