M
r Adams is delighted to be involved with the progressive team at the Da Vinci Clinic and enjoys the lifestyle on offer in the region. He brings significant experience to the clinic and it is exciting for the Tauranga region to have such a skilled Plastic Surgeon available and gives options to those considering plastic or reconstructive surgery. The Da Vinci Clinic offers a complete range of surgical and skin health services through their two Plastic Surgeons, two Dermatologists and skilled appearance medicine and support team. Having completed his full Plastic and Reconstructive surgery training in New Zealand, Mr Adams was awarded FRACS (Plastics) from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. In 2012 he was the Advanced Aesthetic Fellowship recipient from the Australasian Society for Aesthetic Surgery and spent time learning all aspects of aesthetic surgery including rhinoplasty, facelift and blepharoplasty from experienced mentors. Mr Adams gained extensive experience in one of Australia’s busiest elective surgical hospitals, the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. Mr Adams performs a range of cosmetic surgery procedures including facelifts, brow, neck and eyelid lifts (blepharoplasty), ear pinning (otoplasty), genioplasty, facial contouring and fat injection. He is also skilled in breast surgery breast enlargement (augmentation), breast lift, breast reduction and breast reconstruction – and body contouring procedures, including arm lift (brachyplasty), tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), thigh lifts, liposuction and liposculpture. He works extensively with reconstructive procedures for skin cancer including melanoma. A particular area of interest for Mr Adams is rhinoplasty or re-shaping the nose. This can be both aesthetic and functional. An asymmetric or prominent nose may be balanced and refined. An injured nose may be straightened and breathing improved. When a large or obvious deformity is present, good improvements are possible in most cases. There is no perfect nose or face, but harmony between the nose and face is achieved by balancing what is desired and what is possible to achieve through surgery. A shared understanding between patient and surgeon is essential for successful rhinoplasty surgery and in fact any surgery. Mr Adams is known for his warm, respectful manner which immediately puts patients at ease.
