ickstart the Christmas season with Ellerslie on Saturday 28th November, the first of three Christmas at the Races events. For the first time ‘An eye on Fashion’ – a passive fashion competition – will be being run on the day, be sure to dress to the nines. We have fashion experts Alysha Brown (The Bachelor NZ), Lea Worth (Eye Magazine) & Di Goldsworthy (Racing Icon) on the hunt for the three best dressed people on course, with over $2,500 worth of prizes up for grabs! Don’t worry if you can’t make it on Saturday 28th November as you can come join Santa and the crew at Ellerslie on Saturday 5th or Sunday 13th of December. The best part about these racedays is that you choose how you spend your day with the variety of different hospitality options available. Whether a day outdoors setting up a picnic sounds like you or a gourmet lunch in one of the hospitality areas is more your cup of tea, they have everything you need to entertain your group in style. Christmas doesn’t stop here at Ellerslie… Running for over 150 years, The New Zealand Herald Boxing Day Races are an institution on Auckland’s social calendar. This event is the beginning of The New Zealand Herald Christmas Carnival and is always a magnificent day of high fashion, entertainment, socialising and premier thoroughbred racing. This year, the style stakes are high with over $30,000 in prizes on offer in Fashion in the Field, a competition that attracts over 100 entrants each year. Along with fashion, entertainment comes hand in hand with a great day spent at Ellerslie racecourse. live music on the line up will appeal to the kids and adults alike. Performing at Ellerslie this Boxing Day will be Brendon Thomas and The Vibes from X Factor, New Zealand’s cool eclectic and electrical DJ act Sweet Mix Kids, and bringing the day to an end there will be New Zealand musical legends the Jordan Luck Band. The unbeatable value due to tickets only costing $10 for adults, if pre purchased, or $20 on the day and children under 15 free, makes the Ellerslie Infield the place to be this Boxing Day. The Christmas Carnival continues with the The New Zealand Herald Summer Raceday on Monday 28th December; a great day to relax and unwind after the Christmas festivities. Then

continue the New Year festivities and toast the beginning of 2016 with a deluxe day at the races at the The New Zealand Herald New Year’s Day Races.
