LVS Ascot, owned and operated by the Licensed Trade Charity, has a distinguished history dating back to 1803.
Our school was originally founded to support the children of those working in the huge number of pubs and inns that proliferated in the wake of The Industrial Revolution. Over two hundred years, the school evolved into an award-winning independent co-educational day and boarding institution, welcoming families from all over the world with diverse backgrounds.
We are proud to have had HM the Queen as our Patron, until her recent death, and we now have HM King Charles III as our Royal Patron. Our longevity and robustness, via being managed by a centuries-old and wellresourced charity, has given our school financial stability through many troubled times from the Napoleonic Wars through to Covid-19. This has always made us a safe investment for a child’s ongoing education.
Such is the strength of our financial backing the charity has recently formed the LTC Education Group. This allows us to expand our portfolio of schools.

Curriculum
We have no entrance exams and students can start at any time in the school year.
Courses: We offer a wide range of GCSEs, A-Levels and BTECs for our students aged 11 to 19.
International: In addition to the above, we also have our one academic-year Pre-A Level Programme for international students. This focusses on English language acquisition, and when partnered with our NCUK ‘International Foundation Year’, it provides an excellent pathway to UK universities.
Oxford and Cambridge Pathways: For academic and ambitious students, LVS Ascot offers a programme that starts in Year 10 and can end at a world-leading university or a career in medicine.
