The intent of the MSD of Lawrence Township’s decisions and actions will always be to ensure the safety of the community and to act based on facts, careful deliberation, and the best practices and recommendations of expert and official sources. While the goal was for student life to return to normalcy, the global pandemic continued into the 2020-21 school year. In compliance with State and Federal mandates, the LT Board of Education and district administrators designed learning choices, modified student experiences, adopted enhanced cleaning protocols, and altered school bus procedures in order to keep students safe and healthy. Teachers adjusted lesson plans to teach those in attendance as well as those “zooming” in. LT students being 1:1 with technology facilitated learning and general communication. LT students and families embraced these necessary changes which resulted in LT Schools having one of the lowest positivity rates among K-12 schools in Marion County.
