Welcome

We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. Maya Angelou

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP is the 9th largest school corporation in Indiana. Located in the northeast corner of the greater Indianapolis area, Lawrence Township is a residential suburban community governed by two city municipalities, the City of Lawrence and Indianapolis. It is home to Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park, Geist Reservoir, Fall Creek Greenway, and miles of hiking and biking trails.

The school corporation has a history of academic excellence and a reputation as a leader in K-12 education. While proud of this heritage, the process of continuous improvement is on-going and ever-changing because students and families deserve progressive learning communities where innovation and critical thinking are encouraged and valued for both students and staff.

The school district is committed to the guiding principle that students of all races and ethnicities are not only well educated but also prepared to succeed in the rapidly changing, racially and culturally diverse world.
