WELCOME

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the festive period. We’ve been able to have an incredible run of shows from A Christmas Night at the Opera through to Turin Brakes. It’s also with your help and support that Snow White continued our year-on-year panto tradition of breaking our Box Office records by becoming our most attended show!

Now, we know you might need a break from Christmas - the mince pies and chocolate, but if you really can’t wait to do it all again, tickets for this year’s pantomime, Peter Pan, are already on sale now and selling fast (oh, yes they are!).

Away from The Main House stage, you’ll notice work is starting to finish up on

The Windmill Performance & Education Centre – our brand new, £3 million venue. For this space, we’ve busily been curating a unique programme of events to include everything from world class live music to community performances. Some of the confirmed programming includes shows such as Arthur Smith and Phil Nice in “OOF!”, Iona Lane, Stephen Bailey: TART, and Bootleg Shadows. You can find out more about this venue on page 30.

In the rest of this brochure, you’ll also be able to find out more about all the events we’ve got coming up over the next few months to keep you entertained.

MEET OUR NEW BUILDING

The Windmill Performance & Education Centre, opening in April 2025, is our brand-new, £3 million second venue. Once open, it’ll mark the completion of the first milestone in our three phase redevelopment campaign.

You can expect an incredible programme of events and projects unlike those found in our Main House. These include theatre, workshops, and more. But don’t worry, we’ve collated a list of upcoming shows for you on the next page.

The Windmill Performance & Education Centre is home to:

•An outdoor classroom

•The Lions Community Space

•The Chapman Studio

It’s in The Chapman Studio that

you’ll find the new 162 seat or 350 standing second auditorium. This area features state-of-the-art facilities including a hardwood maple sprung dance floor from Harlequin Floors - a manufacture who’ve worked on iconic venues like The Royal Opera House.

Best of all, the building also generates it’s own electricity thanks to rooftop solar panels and Ground Air Source Heat Pumps.

Upcoming events on sale now include:

THE NEXT PHASE BEGINS

Thank you to everyone who has already donated so far. With your help, we’ve already been able to progress the first phase of our ambitious redevelopment campaign - the construction of The Windmill Performance & Education Centre.

Despite hitting this incredible milestone, we still need your help as we finish this first phase and begin work on the second of three phases.

What is Phase 2?

Now that work on The Windmill Performance & Education Centre is nearing completion, our focus will move to the back of our exisiting building.

One key area of improvement will see disability access onto The Main House stage. Currently,

the only access to the stage from the back of house is via steps, so a crucial part of this phase will rectify this.

It’s also in Phase 2 that we’ll be revamping and reconfiguring the existing dressing rooms, and building up a floor to provide much needed first floor office space.
