Yokai is a mixed martial arts training facility that focuses on developing the skills of MMA, Boxing, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, and combat sports conditioning. We offer a world-class training facility in an inclusive and welcoming environment. Cameron has two experienced and qualified coaches in the team who each add value within the different martial arts disciplines. Our Muay Thai and striking coach, Rayo Sanchez, is currently competing in the EFC.
Cameron Pritchard
Cameron has been competing as a professional mixed martial artist for the past 14 years. During this time, he fought professionally in the EFC and various other MMA and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitions locally and abroad. He holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and previously trained and coached in various top academies around the country, where he gained invaluable experience both as an athlete and as a coach.
Although he is still competing professionally, as head coach and owner of the Academy, his philosophy is to build a strong foundation for his students by providing them the tools and knowledge to use and express in their own style- whether it be striking, MMA or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Nothing has given Cameron more satisfaction than opening a professional MMA academy to the benefit of the community of Paarl.

The true price of Employee Wellbeing
When focusing on building a better business, employee wellbeing is often not on the immediate list of priorities for many small to medium sized businesses. However, statistics show that the true cost of not looking after your staff, can be the difference between success and failure.
"South Africa is fast slipping down global competiveness rankings with a 500% increase in sick leave since 2001," says a leading medical specialist. A mammoth R19 billion is lost every year due to absenteeism in South Africa. It may seem like an obvious thing to do but investing in the health of your workforce is a business imperative that can result in higher levels of productivity, decreased rates of absenteeism and ultimately more zeros on that highly coveted bottom line.
The specialist asserts that with appropriate planning and management, corporate South Africa is ideally positioned to reverse these worrying trends.

It is becoming increasingly important for businesses in today's volatile labour and economic climate to adopt comprehensive employee wellness programmes to manage the risks associated with human capital.
One of the greatest challenges facing South African employers nowadays is to achieve a balance between keeping operational costs manageable while maintaining high productivity levels within a harmonious workplace. Without doubt, attractive staff benefits coupled with a pleasant, safe working environment can go a long way towards ensuring a productive, healthy and stable workforce.
South Africa, unlike many other countries, suffers from a quadruple burden of disease, namely infectious diseases, like Covid-19, HIV/AIDS, non-communicable diseases (NCDs) otherwise known as chronic diseases of lifestyle, and high rates of interpersonal violence and injuries. These can all result in a loss of valued skill and expertise, a decrease in productivity and profits, psychological problems and stress with a dependence on alcohol and drugs often compounding the situation.
The report revealed that while tuberculosis remains South Africa's biggest killer, diseases related to lifestyle, which include cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, and cancer, among many others, are accounting for more and more deaths. "These diseases have a particularly devastating effect on businesses and productivity levels," it was asserted. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that NCDs will be the most common cause of death by 2030, far outstripping deaths from infectious diseases, maternal, perinatal and nutritional diseases combined.
Ultimately, the responsibility lies with the employer to invest in their employees' by ensuring employment benefits such as medical savings accounts, medical insurance or medical aid as well as the overall wellness programmes that create positive responses from employees in terms of job satisfaction and career growth.

• 600g Haddock
• 400 melk
• 6 peperkorrels
• 2 lourierblare
• 1 ui in ringe gesny
• 650g aartappels in dik ringe gesny
• 500g baba spinasie
• 1 pakkie kitskaassouspoeier
• 1 pakkie gekoopte kaassous (Spur s’n is baie lekker)
• 125 ml gerasperde emmertal kaas
• 125 ml gerasperde Cheddar kaas
• Knippie neut
METODE:
1. Kook die haddock met die uie, lourierblare, peperkorrels en melk in ‘n pot op die stoof vir 10 minute.
2. Dreineer die melk in ‘n beker en vlok die vis. Raak ontslae van die vel en enige grate maar hou die melk.
3. Kook die aartappelskywe in warm water tot net sag.
4. Kook die spinasie vinnig. Dreineer goed en sit in ‘n enkellaag in ‘n groot, gesmeerde oondbak.
5. Verhit die melk en klits die kitskaaspoeier in. As dit dik raak, voeg die gekoopte kaassous, die gerasperde kase en die knippie neut by. Roer tot die kase gesmelt is en verwyder van die hitte.
6. Pak nou die vis en dan die aartappels bo op die spinasie in die bak.
