JULY 25, 2025
DearLovejoyCommunity,
We hope you are enjoying a summer filled with family, fun, and maybe even a few new adventures. My family spent time in Chicago and Glen Rose this summer and enjoyed visiting the GeminiGiantonRoute66andexploringDinosaur ValleyStatePark.
Our amazing educators are already working hard to prepare safe, supportive classrooms where everystudentcanthrive.Youcanfeelthegrowing excitement excitmentthroughoutthedistrictaboutwelcomingyourpreciouschildrenbackto schoolonAugust7thandhearingabouttheirsummeradventures.
To support learning-centered, respectful classrooms and in line with new state legislation (HB 1481), students will now need to keep personal communications devices (including cell phones) stored in their backpack. This shift will foster greateracademicengagement.Weappreciateyoursupportathome.Parentscan expectmoredetailedinformationonthistopicearlynextweek.
There is nothing more treasured to us than our students and staff. Therefore, safety and security remains a top priority in Lovejoy ISD. This year, we are implementinganewSilentPanicAlertTechnology(SPAT)systematallcampuses. Approved by our Board of Trustees and funded by 2014 bond dollars, this enhanced system provides improved emergency communication and staff alert devices.
Communication is key to a successful school year, and we want to keep you informed and engaged. To support this commitment, Lovejoy ISD is excited to announce the launch of a new instructional communication system to enhance family
