Our Community, Our Vision
Our Mission Louisville Collegiate School inspires academic excellence, extraordinary character, and global citizenship.
Greetings! It is with great enthusiasm that we present the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan. On behalf of the entire Strategic Planning Committee, I would like to thank all participants for their time and dedication over the past 24 months. It was the effort of the entire school community—faculty, staff, students, families, alumni, and Board of Trustees—that made this important planning process a success. In May of 2025, the Board approved the final plan. Our vision for the next five years focuses on the following Six Pillars:
1. Academic Excellence: Prepare students for future challenges through robust, research-based curricular experiences
2. Community and Belonging: Foster a thriving, inclusive community where every student, faculty, and staff member can grow, connect, and succeed
3. Health & Wellness: Prioritize the wellbeing of all community members—mentally, emotionally, and physically
4. Financial Sustainability: Pursue longterm financial stability by expanding revenue sources and investing in innovative programs
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Strengthen our identity through meaningful relationships, stakeholder engagement, and shared purpose
6. Campus Development: Evaluate and enhance campus development to elevate the overall educational experience
These pillars provide us with a roadmap for continued success in preparing our community for an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world. Our Board of Trustees, faculty, and staff are committed to the exceptional educational experience Collegiate offers, ensuring our students are well prepared to lead purpose-driven and healthy lives.
Many times in our 111-year history, we have taken time to pause and reflect while planning for the future. Over the next five years, our new strategic plan will guide our decisions to determine what our students and community need for future growth and success.
We are grateful for your input and commitment to making Louisville Collegiate School the healthiest place for everyone in our community to learn and grow. Your continued support and involvement help ensure our success.

The strategic planning process was comprehensive and inclusive.
The development of our Strategic Plan was a thoughtful and collaborative effort spanning two years. The process engaged hundreds of community members through multiple surveys and opportunities for feedback, ensuring that a broad range of voices and perspectives were heard.
A 19-person Strategic Planning Committee—representing a diverse cross-section of Collegiate constituencies—guided the process, reviewing data, discussing emerging themes, and reflecting deeply on the

school’s mission and future direction. A year-long comprehensive self-study was conducted as part of this work and later evaluated by an 8-member visiting team from the Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS), who spent three days on campus providing valuable insights and feedback.
Through the committee’s deliberations and a careful synthesis of community input and ISACS recommendations, we identified and refined the Six Pillars that now form the foundation of this Strategic Plan. These pillars, along with their associated action steps, reflect our collective aspirations and commitments.

Strategic areas to guide our plan
Six pillars will guide our strategic plan for the next five years.
Collegiate’s 790 students are guided by our Cornerstones of Honor, Respect, Compassion, and Responsibility, which serve as a grounding force both inside and outside the classroom. Each day, our students exercise their passion for learning in an environment that both challenges and supports them. They are compassionate and curious community members who appreciate their place in a diverse world.
Our goals are designed to be mission-aligned and student-centered. Each goal has several key initiatives, internal action steps for implementation, and metrics to assess progress. They are purposely integrated and aligned to ensure we have a focused and balanced five-year action plan. The community will continue to be involved in the process with regular updates and touchpoints incorporated to provide feedback.
Prepare students for future challenges by offering robust and research-based curricular experiences oriented around competency-based principles and replete with experiential application. We will adapt to societal and technological change, invest in professional development, and use purposeful evaluation tools to ensure innovation aligns with our missions and supports every learner.
