Bingo brings big bucks to players

Students played for the bucks at Bingo Night Thursday, March 7. The night was run by the student development office and the CAP board. Junior Dennis Fahner, "bingo boy, n returned to host the event. Many students won $100 prizes. The event is held once a month, usually on Thursdays.

After a disagreementeruptedbetween two visitorsto Cabrini'scampus, one was arrestedand the second wastreatedfora stabwoundto the left forearm. Accordingto reportsin the Philadelphialnquirer,chargesof aggravated assault,possessingan instrumentof crimeanddisorderlyconducthavebeen filed against 19-year-old Michael Sonnie. DennisLeary,the victim in this case, said the incidentwas just a "misunderstandingbetweenfriends" and that he does not want to press charges,accordingto thatreport. The incident took place in room 264 of XavierHall on Friday,March 16 at approximately2 a.m. According to first-year student Tony Parsons, whose room the incidenttook place in, he invited three friends to visit. The three friends then invited another friend who invited three more. These seven, all non-Cabrini students, were signed into the residence hall under Parsons' name. Parsonssaidhe was in the hallway on the phone when the stabbingoccurred. '1 don't know what I could have done differently. How could I have controlledtwo adults?"Parsonssaid
