A proud Dr. Jerome Zurek, chair of the English/communications department, officially signed Cabrini College's radio station, WYBF, on the air on Wednesday, June 12. It was Zurek's hard work, along with President Sr. Eileen Currie, M.S.C. and the foresight of Dr. Joseph Romano, the former academic vice president, that the station evolved. The moderator of WYBF, Bud Mellon; and radio instructors Cosmo Rose, Joe Harnett and Jim Catrambone also aided in the process. The single person most instrumental for bringing the radio program to Cabrini 10 years ago is Chief Engineer Frank Hogan. Cabrini also shares the airwaves with Villanova University's radio station WXVU.

Caranfa supplied all of the physical work on the project, such as building a housing for the MAC machine. Zeminski set up the processing for the machine as well as the security. Zeminski also got the necessary approval from the state and the histo~cal society for the installation of the machine. Barclay took care of various "conditions and committments" including a promise to work closer with Bryn Mawr Trust in the future.
