2022 LAIDLEY FESTIVAL

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the region, the Ugarapul and Yuggera people and pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of other communities who may live here. Lockyer Valley Regional Council is committed to cultivating inclusive environments for all staff, customers, residents and visitors. This project was made possible by the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund, which supports the arts in regional and remote Australia. This project was made possible with funding from the Australian Government’s National Emergency Management Agency.

The Lockyer Valley’s Laidley Spring Festival is re-blooming this September, and the region’s flagship event welcomes you to be a part of the celebrations!

WELCOME LAIDLEY SPRING FESTIVAL 20222

Mayor’s Welcome

MAYOR – Lockyer Valley Regional Council

Cr Tanya Milligan

Let spring fever take hold of you and join us in Laidley on September 9 and 10 – I look forward to seeing you there!

Come along over 9 – 10 September for loads of spring-inspired fun. Embrace the “Swing into Spring” Street Parade; roving entertainers; the Horticultural Expo; Orchid, Quilt, Art and Gem Shows; open gardens; historical displays and a Show ‘n Shine.

Community groups, who work tirelessly to showcase their organisations, their hobbies and their venues, are the backbone of this Festival. Their dedication is admirable and on behalf of the community, I extend my sincere thanks for the time and effort they give this Festival, and the Lockyer Valley as a whole. It is this spirit that represents the Lockyer Valley so perfectly.

Personally, I am looking forward to the range of new events that will be on offer this year. Be it the Twilight Feast & Fest, serving up relaxed festival feels on the Friday evening with live tunes and food vendors; Saturday’s Buy From the Bush Qld Markets, where you can shop up a storm and support more than 100 bush businesses, where lots of talented creatives will share their wares with you, or the Spring Festival Garden Party – a new ticketed event featuring lunch, lawn games and a live band, there really will be something for everyone.
