TURN BACK TIME & TURN UP THE FUN!
Mayor’s Welcome
Join me for three days of fun, charm and community spirit at the 62nd Laidley Spring Festival!
Soak in the colourful sights of the street parade, enjoy the foodie precinct, live tunes and more nostalgia than your nan’s Tupperware drawer. I’m vibing with this year’s “Retro Revival” theme for a nostalgic twist to our well-loved festival traditions. The best part? Most of the festival fun is free, with a few community events asking for a gold coin donation or small entry fee to support hard-working local organisations. There’s free parking, a park-and-ride shuttle, accessible spaces throughout the precinct and pets are welcome (on lead, of course).
Delicious new addition, the Producer’s Patch, will celebrate the region’s finest growers and producers, with beloved celebrity chef Matt Golinski donning the apron for live cooking demos on Saturday.
Line the streets to catch Saturday’s street parade, then pop over to the festival precinct, where the main stage will groove with live entertainment, including Elmo and Cookie Monster, rising country star Denvah, and high-energy hip hop group Geed Up.
If your happy place is art, quilts, gems, or in the garden or the potting shed, this festival is calling your name!
And don’t miss Sunday’s Bee Happy Day in Forest Hill, with its feel-good, honey-drizzled atmosphere, market stalls, delicious eats and a whole swarm of FREE activities for the kids. My heartfelt thanks to the dedicated organising team, and countless volunteers who tirelessly work behind the scenes to make this event such a cherished tradition.
This festival is one that the whole family will love.
