GR San Diego
• We have an amazing Asian Pacific Islander community here in San Diego, and with that comes an immense number of food outlets. A few of my favorite spots to dine are Ban Loa in El Cajon, Yakitori Hino and Woomiok in Convoy, Taka Sushi in the Gaslamp Quarter and Taste of Hunan in Mira Mesa. I am also extremely excited for the opening of Kingfisher to taste their modern interpretation of Vietnamese food. www.banlaocuisine.com www.woomiok.com www.takasushi.com www.tasteofhunan.com www.kingfishersd.com
Waterfront Retreat
• When I’m not staycationing at Ocean Park Inn, I enjoy driving up to Palos Verdes to enjoy some R&R at Terranea Resort. The property features stunning ocean views, multiple restaurants, a spa and a golf course. There are also a ton of unique on-site experiences, such as archery, a falconry experience and a Kids Club Discovery Garden for the little ones. www.terranea.com
Juggling It All
• Most people don’t know that I’m a part of four different businesses in four different sectors and that I’m active on multiple community boards. Outside of my professional life, my wife Nan and I recently welcomed kid number two into our family!

THE STRONG SENSE OF COMMUNITY
2
• Pacific Beach truly is a close-knit community, and I believe that resonates with people when they come to visit. The vibrancy and life of the community, along with all of the unique activities and experiences that are available here, make it a must-visit SoCal destination.

The Grass Is Always Greener
• My favorite hidden gem in San Diego is Kate Sessions Park in Pacific Beach. The grassy lawn is perfect for the family, and it offers killer views of the ocean, Mission Bay and downtown. You have to check out Concerts on the Green too! Pro tip: pack your favorite snacks and go at sunset for a beautiful view. www.pbtowncouncil.org/concertson-the-green
THE FOOD; THERE ARE SO MANY GREAT RESTAURANTS ON AND OFF THE BEATEN PATH!

Feels Like Family
• My favorite part about working for Ocean Park Inn is the aspect of family. The hotel itself has been in my family for generations, and I love seeing other families come with their children to stay with us year after year. Located just steps from the beach, it’s a special place to make lifelong memories. www.oceanparkinn.com
