Who are we?

Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 945 6130 Airways Blvd Chattanooga, TN 37421-2969 423.894.9940

The Fraternal Order of Eagles, an international, non-profit organization, unites fraternally in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice and equality to make human life more desirable by lessening its ills and by promoting peace, prosperity, gladness and hope. For more than a century, the Fraternal Order of Eagles has had a positive influence on our region, nation, world and most importantly, in our communities. It was the Eagles that pushed for the founding of Mother’s Day, who provided the impetus for Social Security and who pushed to end job discrimination based on age. The Eagles have provided support for medical centers across the country to build and provide research for medical conditions such as spinal cord injuries, kidney disease, diabetes and Alzheimer’s. We raise millions of dollars each year to combat heart disease and cancer, help handicapped children, uplift the aged and to make life a little brighter for everyone.

The Fraternal Order of the Eagles upholds and nourishes the values of home, family and community that are so necessary and seem so often to be ignored and trampled in today’s society. The Eagles are hometown builders. We support our police, firefighters and others who protect and serve. We help raise money for our communities. We are the Eagles, and we are “people helping people.”

Golf tournaments don’t “just happen” without a lot of hard work and effort by many people. So, we want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this one “happen.” We learned a lot — from how to do things better to how NOT to do things — but, all efforts were greatly appreciated. Here’s to every team having a great day! Don and Barbara Ashenbramer
