Dear FOE 945 Aerie/Auxillary Member: We are gearing up for the Eagles’ Annual Charity Golf Tournament to be held on Wednesday, September 11, at Brown Acres Golf Course. This marks the fifth year for this event, and with your involvement, we can make it bigger and better than ever!  Committee: Don Ashenbramer Barbara Ashenbramer Chuck Blow Jenny Henderson Jim Miller Carolyn Miller Ray Crawley

 Our Charities: Local Heart Institute at Memorial Hospital Memorial Hospital Cancer Center Local Schools in Underprivileged Neighborhoods Local Families at Thanksgiving and Christmas

As you may know, last year we were able to donate more than $20,000 to various local and national charities through our fundraising efforts — the golf tournament alone provided approximately one-third of those funds. This year, the golf tournament goal is to raise $15,000. Enclosed, you will find a brochure giving you the tournament details and outlining the different ways you can participate. In addition, if you have a family member or friend whose organization may be willing to make donations of goods or services, please feel free to give them Jim or Carolyn Miller’s contact information. Items needed to make this golf tournament successful, include: 

Prizes for the award dinner (ex: new golf equipment, gift cards, decorative items, jewelry, new gift sets, etc.)

Goodie bag items (ex: logoed pens/pencils, notepads, combs, magnets, etc.)

Individual packages of food (ex: chips, nuts, crackers, cookies, candy, etc.)

Also, if you know of a restaurant willing to donate food for approximately 200 people at the award dinner, be sure to let Don or Barbara Ashenbramer know so they can provide more information. Even if you are unable to participate in the ways outlined above, you can still get involved by making a monetary donation (make a check payable to Eagles Annual Charity Golf Tournament and mail to the address at left ) or purchasing an ad in the tournament program. Rates begin as low as $25 for a ¼ page ad and increase to $100 for a full page ad. Thank you for your consideration! Please feel free to contact any member of the committee with questions.
