Unlearning

"When any real progress is made, we unlearn and learn a new what we thought we knew before" ~ Henry David Thoreau What I think we achieved from this module was to unlearn and re-learn what we thought we already knew, but didn't know until we jus t learnt it. Confus ing right? That's what I felt when we were as ked to design s uperheroes on the firs t day. This is is my s uperhero 'The Stealthy Stinger'; is a superhero ins pired by the mimic octopus and the scorpion.

Some other tasks we were asked to do were to make a stop motion animation, create patterns and 'un' patterns out of natural elements and a modification. We also reimagined the epic and delivered a sales pitch. The end of the module resulted in our class putting together a website, which you can check by clicking on the pictures below.

Elements and Principles of Design Before you can run, you must learn how to walk. Though they might be basic, it is these basics used in the right way that make a design aesthetically pleasing; and so, elements and principles of design are not only important for design to exist but also for design to be pleasing.

Through this module and rigorous practice, we are bound to reach the level where we are able to represent exactly what we are visualising; and I think that this is the very goal of this module. It teaches us that scale and proportion are important to keep things as realistic as possible; 1 and it s always easier to explain what you visualise through a representation of your thoughts.

Hence, this is an important module for communication too. Here is some of my work from this module.
