President’s Letter Hello Loyalty Pawn Family,

Third quarter has started. We are in the homestretch of 2023. I hope your sports teams are doing well for you. My Kansas City Chiefs are looking good but so are the San Francisco 49ers which I am not thrilled about, but I will say they do look good. I am sure there are some baseball fans out there and wish you well in this playoff season. Now LET’S GO SACRAMENTO KINGS!!! I hope those that are looking forward to this season and take advantage of our suite at the Golden 1 Center, have FUN!! We had the 2023 CAPA (California Pawnbrokers Association) Conference at the end of September and it was a massive success. There was a great vendor hall, some amazing seminars, and a very lively and over-the-top keynote speaker on sales strategy. I would like to thank Wayne, Javi, Ramsey, and Stephanie for attending the conference, and I am sure they have brought great takeaways for each of you to help your bottom line and the companies. Now for the third quarter sales pep talk our sales season is approaching fast, sell those layaways, sell those add-ons, and always keep our monthly sales in your topic of conversation with our clients. Keep up the magnificent work. Thank you, Team Loyalty! Always Appreciative, Stan Lukowicz, III

Letter from the General Manager Greetings Everyone, Soon to be starting the beginning of the 4th quarter. This means pumpkin spice everything, and cooler temperatures are heading our way. I’m certainly excited about one of those things (less the pumpkin spice). I want to share some information on the September 22 to September 23 business KPI’s. Compared to September 22, we have grown over 450k in our loan book. This is clear as there continues to be a demand for capital. Our retail sales increased marginally. We maintain comparable layaway balances while seeing that Layaway redemptions equate to nearly 30% of our retail sales. Thankfully, our liquidation of jewelry has slowed down a bit, and we plan on building up some jewelry inventory for the holidays. We are holding steady for the capital needs but tend to have large swings in loans to redeem. The top salesman for September was Dominic T. First place. Paul M. 2nd place and Norma B. 3rd place. The top salesman for the quarter was Dominic T. in the first place, Norma B. 2nd place, and Josh B. 3rd place. If anyone asks the top three how they can be the top 5 (more often than not), they will also divulge how important the layaway system is to their success. Congratulations team! At the end of September, we attended the CAPA convention in Long Beach. This was a great event. We were able to scout out some other locations in southern California. Many locations have operations much like ours. I believe that there are some tweaks that we could make to our retail environment, but some of the locations we visited were indeed top-notch! One location that comes to mind is Valencia Loan Mfg. This location had a beautiful setup for dealing in a large selection of jewelry products. The inside of the store was very inviting and set up to move jewelry. This was also an excellent opportunity to catch up on market trends, purchase inventory, and meet new/ repeat vendors. One of the most significant takeaways from the Southern CAPA event was the market fluctuation in the stone market. Currently, color stones and diamonds have dropped in the wholesale market. This, hopefully, is a short-term fluctuation. One of the financial indicators is the value of the dollar worldwide. Currently, stones in places like India and Japan are more inexpensive than in the US. We predict this will slow down for a few months but rebound in early 2024. There continues to be much uncertainty as labcreated and man-made stones water down the market. We will continue monitoring and make corrections as needed. Stay tuned!!! Sincerely, Wayne Silliman General Manager “If you want to grow, you have to do something different form the majority of people” -Lakshmi Mittal

Security Awareness As the days grow shorter, it becomes essential for store Managers and team members to prioritize their safety and security. By staying vigilant, aware of their surroundings, and implementing smart practices, individuals can significantly reduce the risk of potential threats. This article aims to provide comprehensive insights into enhancing situational awareness while offering practical tips and best practices for store security. Situational awareness is the ability to comprehend what is happening around you, assess potential risks, and make informed decisions to ensure personal safety. By following these tips, individuals can improve their situational awareness: 1. Stay alert: In any potentially risky situation, remain focused and avoid distractions such as phones or headphones. 2. Scan your environment: Continuously observe your surroundings, paying attention to people's behavior and any unusual objects or activities. 3. Trust your instincts: If something feels off or raises suspicion, trust your gut feeling, and take appropriate action. 4. Maintain situational positioning: Position yourself in a way that allows for a clear view of your surroundings and identi[ies potential escape routes. 5. Stay informed: Keep up with current events, weather conditions, or any relevant information that might impact your safety. 6. Practice mindfulness: Remain present in the moment, avoiding zoning out, particularly in busy or unfamiliar environments. 7. Engage all your senses: Utilize not only your vision but also you’re hearing and sense of touch to gather information about your surroundings. 8. Plan ahead: Before entering a new location or situation, have a plan in mind for emergencies and know what actions to take. 9. Avoid overcon[idence: Never assume absolute safety; maintaining situational awareness requires ongoing vigilance. 10. Train and prepare: Consider taking self-defense or safety courses to enhance skills and con[idence in various situations.

Implementing Best Practices for Store Security: To further strengthen security measures, it is crucial to implement the following best practices: 1. Be aware of store visitors: Pay attention to who enters the store and take note of any groups or suspicious behavior. 2. Secure entrances: Ensure that security doors remain closed during business hours to prevent unauthorized access. 3. Conduct store walks: Before leaving the store, thoroughly check and secure doors, windows, gates, and safes. Double-checking is a good practice. 4. Strength in numbers: Always have a second person present when opening or closing the store, as these vulnerable moments require extra caution.

6

5. Greet incoming traf[ic: Acknowledge customers as they enter the store, providing them with a sense of awareness and reassurance. 6. Handling valuable items: When showcasing jewelry over $500, request the customer's identi[ication and keep it within sight, avoiding vulnerable positions. 7. Trash disposal: Always dispose of trash with a second person present to reduce the risk of being targeted. 8. Familiarity with panic buttons: Ensure that all team members are aware of the location of panic buttons and that they are in proper working condition. 9. Maintain surveillance: Regularly check and ensure that security cameras are operational, and that the DVR is recording. 10. Callers' scam: Beware of callers asking for personal information. Instead of answering "yes," respond with "may I ask who's calling?" to avoid potential consent-related scams.

Prioritizing store security and safety should be an integral part of every morning huddle and training session. By openly discussing and role-playing various scenarios, employees can stay prepared and proactive in ensuring their own safety and that of their teams and clients. By fostering a culture of awareness and vigilance, we can create a secure environment that promotes peace of mind for everyone involved. Remember, the safety of our teams and clients is our utmost concern, and by implementing these security measures and regularly reinforcing them, we can strive to create a safe and welcoming shopping experience for all. Let's continue to prioritize security and keep our stores and communities secure. Stay safe, stay vigilant!

Shop Talk Manager Updates El Camino Team Loyalty, Hello, fellow team members! With October upon us, it's time to embrace the meteor showers and the challenge of losing a few hours of sleep to witness this celestial spectacle. September treated us well, and now, as we step into the fourth quarter, we're gearing up for our busiest month yet. Christmas is just around the corner, which means those layaways will soon be flying off our shelves. Also in these uncertain economic times, let's remain focused on securing more layaways. While Team Elco fell short of our 20k target, we're still optimistic. Our new goal for this month is an ambitious 75k. Also Thank you for the excellent inventory selection by Javier and Ramsey that attended the CAPA convention, we're well-equipped for the challenge ahead. Let's keep pushing toward our goal, and a big congratulations to Norma for achieving her incentive and putting in the hard work. Together, we've got this! Hope everyone has a spooky and safe Halloween. Dad joke: what’s the scariest plant on earth ? -Bam Booooo! Cheers, Tony Mora

Roseville Hello Team Loyalty, I'm thrilled to share some exciting news with all of you in this edition of our company newsletter. It's been a remarkable third quarter for Loyalty Pawn, and I want to extend a heartfelt congratulations to each one of you for your dedication and hard work. Our September sales goal was set at $50,000, but I'm proud to announce that we've not only met that goal but exceeded it by selling a whopping $56,000! This remarkable achievement reflects the incredible effort and commitment of our team members. I'd like to give a special shoutout to Dom T. for his exceptional performance during September. Dom, your sales efforts have been nothing short of outstanding, with sales totaling over $29,000. Your dedication and determination played a significant role in helping us reach and surpass our target. In September, we welcomed a staggering 205 new customers at Roseville. This growth is a testament to the trust our community places in us and the exceptional service we provide. It's an incredible achievement, and I'm excited to see our customer base continue to expand. With Q4 now underway, we're setting our sights on another ambitious goal. Our sales target for October is $65,000, and I have full confidence that, together, we can achieve this milestone. Let's maintain our momentum, build on our successes, and approach the final quarter of the year with unwavering determination. Thank you all for your hard work, commitment, and passion for Loyalty Pawn. Let's make Q4 an even greater success, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for our company.
