Let’s make 2020 an amazing year here at Loyalty Pawn!

Letter from the President Hello Team Loyalty, January and February are gone. Is 2020 going top goby faster than 2019? It seems like it so far! We have seen some tax money rolling in. I want to give a huge thank you shout out to all team members that worked from February 27th and through that following weekend, I know it was extremely busy. It paid off February was a record-breaking revenue month even larger than our amazing record-breaking December of 2019. Huge congratulations to all of you. Every store hit their sales revenue budget, our Pawn Service Charges was also a recordbreaking number and eBay hit their sales revenue budget also! The only revenue number that was a little of was our scrap gold sales and that was only off by 5%. We also had 99% of our team hit their sales incentive, that is terrific let’s get that to 100% and keep that consistent and hit those incentive goals every week. I believe that our success is a team effort and we need to keep communicating with each other and between locations; helping each other with inventory needs, helping each other fill those needs in our call back binders and getting our clients that product they are looking for and making those sales. If you are not in our GroupMe chats, ask your manager to add you. Our GroupMe chats are very effective and quick way to communicate so let's all use them. We are all aware of the changes happening at the El Camino location. As we are all sad to see Cody leave Loyalty Pawn, we are happy to see him move on to a new chapter in his life with a new career that will give him the much-needed family time. Don’t worry we did not let him go 100%. Cody has agreed to stay on with Loyalty Pawn as an independent contractor and continue to help us with our marketing. Cody may reach out to us from time to time looking for ideas or content. Cody still has his loyaltypawn.com email address if you do need to reach out to him. Please be mindful of his time and thank you Cody for staying with us as our marketing coordinator. Javier in stepping in as the role as manager at the El Camino location and is excited to fill in until Wayne, Javi and I find the right fit for El Camino's new store manager. He is excited to continue the expansion of our luxury goods department there and improve that location. So, you probably will not be seeing him as often as you did before, but that will only be temporary. Thank You all for your patience as we are continuing to find new team members, we have been on boarding several new team members and still have more to bring on board as we find them. Remember Loyalty Pawn does have a $500 incentive if you recommend a friend or family member that joins our team. Thank You Everyone, Stan Lukowicz 2

A Letter from the General Manager Hello Everyone, February was a fantastic month! Many of you had the opportunity to hit your weekly bonus and work those call back binders. During the last ten days of February, we all started to see tax money trickle in the stores. This is a great time to offer all of our services to our clients. Every year, we like to compare how we did for the same month vs. previous year. When doing so, we found that not only did our loan balance increase 825K since then, but our sales for February 19/20 has increased $90,000. This is an exceptional increase and we are proud of the teams who are continuously striving for excellence! As always, we like to mention the top salespeople for the month. The top salesperson for February was Dominic T. who sold $39,868.00, Justin Martinez sold $24,561.49 and Marcos Barragan who sold $22,188.55. Thank you very much! I know Dominic was looking forward to hitting the $40,000 mark!! He is truly a force to be reckoned with! It is also noteworthy to mention the top producers of physical transactions made for the month. The top three all came from Florin in the month of February. First place was Paul Molina who did 1373 transactions, second place was Marcos Barragan at 1140 transactions and third place was Dave P. at 1106 transactions. Each member did over 1000 transactions for the month. As all of you know, at the end of February Cody has left and Javier will be the acting store manager at El Camino for some time. We are thankful for the value that Cody has added to the company. We know he will bring success in his next career and he assured us that he won’t be a stranger! With March being right around the corner, lets continue to engage our customers and offer our products professionally. The tax season hasn’t ended quite yet, and we still have quite a bit of inventory to move as well as 10-month layaway program to offer in case they’re hesitant to buy. I look forward to getting around the stores more often and talking to each of you. Sincerely, Wayne Silliman General Manager “We are what we repeatedly do, excellence then is not an act but a habit.” – Aristotle

Loyalty Pawn Family Greetings Loyalty family, I can’t believe it’s March already the weather feels like it’s getting nicer too. As most of you know, Mr. Cody Lathe has gone on to another venture. We wish him the best of luck and much successes in his new career. I will spend some time working with the El Camino team this month. The book we’re reading this month is Sell, or Be Sold by Grant Cardone. This book is a strong recommendation especially for those of you that need help in the sales area or need a little be an extra motivation in your life. Just the way he includes sales in encounters of our daily lives is remarkable to me. It’s good to see some tax money starting to roll into the stores. Great combination sales happen in the past, I’ve seen everything from a ring, tv and a lawnmower all on the same transaction. So, let’s use one of our core values creativity and maximize our opportunities with every single transaction that walks in the door. This is the perfect opportunity to turn that product back into dollars before we loan it out again. Last, this is also the perfect time to be capturing layaways with down payments. It’s crazy to think if someone is putting something on layaway, they can pull it out around Christmas time. Once again let’s make sure we are maintaining those layaways every time someone hands you an ID. This month we will get to know Ricardo Molina, the Lead SLA for the El Camino location. He has been in the Pawn industry coming up on 4 years in July. He enjoys working in the pawn industry because every day you learn something new and this business teaches you things that you can use in your everyday life like shopping around for a bargain and how not to get ripped off. Another reason he loves working here is that he really likes the people he works with and truly believes it’s like a family and it has also taught him how to push himself in doing a thing that he in his younger years didn’t think he was capable of like being a leader. Ricardo or better known as Tito was born May 11th, 1995 in Sacramento. He was primarily raised in North Highlands. He is the middle child of three Noel and Aroon. His older brother Noel is also in the Pawn industry and currently works at Capital City Loan & Jewelry. This was how Tito first got introduced to the business. His younger brother Arron is a little of a local celebrity, he used to play midfield for the Sac Republic U18. He has moved to Mexico where he is playing for a semi-pro team the Reboceros de La Piedad. Soccer has always been a big part of the Molina family, so much so that Tito has been playing it ever since he was a little kid and even played it to high school. He was pretty good too when he played for North Highlands high his senior year; he was the lead scorer and it was the first time that school had been league champions. Soccer and professional wrestling are his two true passions and choice of entertainment. He recently went to a hell in a cell match. His favorite wrestler was Rey Mysterio because he was always the underdog and the small guys, he was able to amount to big things and just the way he throws himself around is pretty awesome. Coming from a big Mexican family, he remembers always having an event every weekend. He wants to start a family someday and raise them in Sacramento, speaking like a true native of the city. His father showed him the value of hard work from a young age he would always help his father out with the landscaping and catering business. He likes to go see live events like Mexican regional groups, where a lot of the times they’re also bull riding events. This is also another bonding time for him and his family. He has plans to go visit Mexico during the holidays; he hasn’t been back since before he was 10years old. His cousin Paul also works for the company at the Florin location 4

Shop Talk Manager Updates El Camino Team Loyalty, Big things happening at El Camino. Cody is as most of you know has parted ways from the store but definitely not the Loyalty Family. We have a lot of work that must get done and will be calling to get some assistance from some of you. We are both committed and excited for the change as I’ve talked to the team already of some of the spring cleaning/ changes that are going to be happening. We are excited to see some of that tax money come through and will be capitalizing on those opportunities. Javier Becerra

Florin Mall Hello Loyalty Pawn Family, I hope everyone had a wonderful February. We are excited to let everyone know that our very own Loyalty member David Palomares and his wife will be expecting their new bundle of joy this month. Mike Xiong is coming up on his 3rd month and Ah Xiong with her second month with us and they both are doing counter deals already. Florin had an excellent month of February. We ended up doing over $78k in sales, which is over by $21k from what we did last February. We are excited to continue and push forward in our sales. Well everyone knows that tax money has been coming in so let’s push our promotion and continue to excel in sales. Let’s end ou2020 first quarter strong. “Let Us Make Our Future Now, And Let Us Make Our Dreams Tomorrow’s Reality” Mark Xiong

Roseville Hello Team Loyalty, ITS TAX TIME!! The best time of the year. The Team at Roseville is ready and looking forward to a great tax season. I know last years tax season was a little underwhelming to say the least, and we are excited to see the money rolling in. We ended February strong and the Roseville team is hungry to crush sales for the month of March (#Just kill it). I would also like to welcome Juanita Gutierrez to team Loyalty, she has been doing a great job learning the ins and outs of the pawn business and we are excited to have her. In closing I just want to wish everyone a great Tax season and let’s crush last year’s numbers and make a huge dent in this year’s sales goals. Just Kill It! Fun Fact: The tax code is over 74,000 pages long, 3,800,000 words long and since 2001, there have been more than 4,500 changes to the tax code. Justin Martinez 5

Broadway Hello Everyone, Hello Broadway fans another month in the bag and we are excited and ready to go. We are happy to see that income tax money starting to come into the stores and really boost our sales. Josh is this month’s man of the hour hitting sales bonus the past several weeks and his knowledge in shoes and apparel have been a big help allowing us to branch off into other areas allowing us to help a new customer base. Stay tuned for next month’s post. John Mark

West Sacramento Hello Team, February went fast and March probably will too. We welcome Norma Bobadilla as a new member of our loyalty pawn family, reach out to west Sacramento and help me welcome her. She has been living in West Sac for over 6 years and will help us find spread the word about of services. Unfortunately, we weren't able to add another case to our jewelry display but rather move all of our silver and watches to a different case which work great for us. We will be also installing LED lights (hopefully we won’t shock ourselves) to our Jewelry cases to bring out more the fire and beauty of our pieces. We will be having a Team Celebration Night at Golden One Center. The whole West Sac Team will be cheering for the Sacramento Kings against Raptors on March 8th, keep an eye on West Sac Facebook we will be uploading pictures. Jose Velaquez

Monthly Birthstones This will help educate you about some of the more popular semi and precious stones we come across and it will also help you close some more sales. The idea is to educate you on next month’s birthstone as you can arrange your cases properly and make suggestions to our clients that may be browsing or even looking for a gift. Let’s think outside the box when utilizing this information. I am going to put January and February in here since I missed the last couple months but also March as we need to start preparing for March.

FEBRUARY Amethyst, the birthstone of February, is a variety of Quartz that carries a spectacular purple color that ranges from a blend of deep violet and red to a lighter lilac hue. Ancient Greeks believed that the stone protected the wearer from drunkenness and enabled them to keep a balanced mindset.

MARCH Aquamarine, the birthstone of March, has a rich color and has long been a symbol of youth, health and hope. Its mesmerizing color ranges from pale to deep blue and are reminiscent of the sea. A perfect birthstone for March, the Aquamarine creates a beautiful accent to spring and summer wardrobes. APRIL Diamonds, the birthstone of April, are commonly associated with love which make it the perfect gift for a loved one. While white diamonds are most common, fancy colored diamonds can be found in various colors including yellow, blue, pink and a variety of others as well.

Coronavirus Update On behalf of Loyalty Pawn Human Resources in response to the recent Solano County Coronavirus confirmation, it is with an abundance of caution that I communicate with you in response to the Solano County COVID-19 confirmation announcement. Coronavirus disease (COVID-2019) causes respiratory illness (like the flu) with symptoms such as a cough, runny nose, sore throat, fever, difficulty breathing and in more severe cases, pneumonia. People with other medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease), may be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill. (Source World Health Organization). As your HR Practitioner, I am in contact with Sacramento County Public Health officials, the California Occupational Health Administration and the California Department of Industrial Relations who assures that there is no need to change daily routines in any way. And, of course, I understand that with the strong media coverage, anxieties will likely be heightened, and all our families and staff may have more questions. According to public health officials, employees and their families should continue their normal routines and take the same precautions they normally would during cold and flu season, including: • • •

• •

Handwashing which remains our number one defense against illness. Please encourage all employees to wash hands often with soap and water. Daily cleaning of frequently touched surfaces with chlorine containing cleaners. If an employee is not feeling well while at work or exhibiting signs of illness, we need to encourage them to go see their medical provider to communicate all health concerns with their physician/healthcare team. We will not discriminate against anyone who expresses concern about the COVID-19, nor will we prohibit them from seeking medical attention if they’re exhibiting signs of fever, sore throat, coughing etc. If an employee has a fever, please encourage them to please stay home and perhaps seek medical attention as a precautionary measure. We cannot require you to seek medical attention, but we certainly encourage you to do so. Also, there is no evidence to support wearing a mask prevents airborne illnesses from spreading. CDC does not recommend the routine use of N95 respirators outside of the healthcare setting. N95 masks are not designed for and should not be worn by children. While many health officials support getting a flu shot, the flu vaccine won’t protect against COVID-19 but it is still highly recommended as a means to help prevent other flu viruses For additional Coronavirus Resources see these online links below:
