Team Loyalty! Happy New Year Team Loyalty! We hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday with their friends and families! We do not have any more kings game lefts for this season but we do have many events left, so make sure to get those requests in. We are so thankful for the hard work and dedication to Loyalty Pawn from each and every team member, so thank you all very much! Everyone did an amazing job in 2023 and we cannot wait to see what 2024 will bring!! Lastly, if anyone has any suggestions for new things that we can add to the newsletter please reach out and let me know.

President’s Letter Hello Team Loyalty, It is unbelievable how fast 2023 came and went! Happy New Year’s to everyone in the Loyalty Pawn Family. I wish for everyone to have a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2024! We had a terrific revenue year, our highest ever, we beat last year by about $35,000. December was our highest revenue month; we beat last December by $11,000 and December was our highest Pawn Service Charges beating out this past September by $8,000. Those are all terrific numbers, but it does show that our sales lacked a little bit and our Pawn Service Charges had significant growth so we will have to keep our eyes on these numbers. We are heading in the right direction as we need our revenue growth to combat our rising expenses. The expenses were foreseen due to the inflationary period the United States economy is in, so nothing concerning here just yet. We also ended the year with our largest loan balance ever. Congratulations to the entire Loyalty Pawn Family! I would like to focus on building and maintaining our company culture. It is vital for any company in business today to make culture an integral part of their business model. When Loyalty Pawn was formed our amazing leadership team spent a great deal of time making our culture the core of how we would grow the company, it has clearly worked it is important to always make culture a priority and reevaluate the needs to make sure we work as a team. We always welcome input from any team member. I thank you for a great 2023 and look forward to seeing what we can do in 2024, I am certain we will make it another outstanding year. Thank You, Stan Lukowicz, III

Loyalty Pawn Family Happy New Year, Loyalty family! I sincerely hope that you had a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year. It's always vital to pause when you start and reflect, refocus on how to set and achieve our New Year's goals. As we've been saying all year last year, retail has been our main focus of discussion. This year, we have a new direction we're going to be going with. It starts with selfaccountability and moves on to store and team accountability. We rely on everybody to hold themselves accountable and pull their own weight to make and surpass our retail goals for this year. We are going to be working hard to give you every tool and avenue to hit these benchmarks. As I've said numerous times in leadership meetings, there's no secret to where the success is in retail. We are going to heavily rely on our layaway balances and e-commerce sales to hit these benchmarks. Like I've said in the past, the most successful team members we have in retail utilize these avenues religiously and are on top of every single one of their clients when it comes to making their follow-up calls and making sure they pay on time. So, let's all reset and continue to work hard so we can surpass our own individual goals and make 2024 the best year we've ever had. This month, we are going to get to know Norma, an SLA from the El Camino team. As we move forward, let's remember the importance of added value and personal accountability. 1. 2.

Security Awareness Qualifying our clients is an essential step when selling items to us at Loyalty Pawn. By implementing a thorough qualification process from the beginning of the transaction to the end, we can ensure that we do not purchase stolen goods and maintain our reputation as a trustworthy and ethical business. Let's explore this process and illustrate it with two different stories on how we acquire items. When a client approaches us to sell their items, we begin by conducting a detailed assessment of the goods they wish to sell. This assessment involves verifying the authenticity, condition, and value of the items. We also ask for proof of ownership, such as receipts or documentation, to confirm that the items are legally obtained. In addition to the physical assessment, we engage in conversations with the sellers to gather more information about the origin and history of the items. We inquire about how they acquired the goods, their reasons for selling, and any relevant details that can help us establish the legitimacy of the transaction. This information allows us to build a profile of the seller and assess their credibility. To further ensure that we do not purchase stolen goods, we have established strong relationships with local law enforcement agencies and cooperate closely with them. We regularly share information about stolen items and collaborate in identifying potential sellers who may be involved in illegal activities. This collaborative effort helps us maintain a high level of vigilance and prevent the purchase of stolen goods. Now, let's delve into two different stories that demonstrate how we acquire items while upholding our commitment to avoid purchasing stolen goods: Story 1: A client named Sarah visits our store with a collection of antique jewelry. She provides us with detailed documentation proving her ownership and explains that the pieces were passed down through generations in her family. We carefully examine the jewelry, verify its authenticity, and assess its value. After ensuring that everything is legitimate, we offer Sarah a fair price for her items. Story 2: Michael, a regular customer, brings in a high-end camera that he no longer needs. We have built a strong relationship with Michael over time, and he knows our commitment to ethical practices. Michael presents us with the original receipt, explaining that he purchased the camera for his photography business but no longer needs it. We inspect the camera, validate its authenticity, and offer Michael a competitive price based on its condition. By qualifying our clients and implementing stringent assessment procedures, we can confidently assure our customers that we do not purchase stolen goods. This commitment not only protects our business from legal issues but also maintains our reputation as a reliable and trustworthy pawn shop. Additionally, it is essential for our staff to exercise caution and vigilance when going through clients' bags, boxes, or pouches. There have been instances where we discovered more items than initially expected. To ensure the safety of both our staff and the clients' belongings, it is good practice to first conduct a visual inspection before handling any items. This step helps us identify any potential risks or unexpected items and allows us to handle the transaction with care and professionalism.

Shop Talk Manager Updates El Camino Our Team Loyalty, New Year, New Goals! I trust everyone had a fantastic New Year's Eve surrounded by loved ones. Personally, my celebration was a bit low-key I found myself in bed by 12:02. Nevertheless, I'm excited about the possibilities the new year brings, and I hope you all are too. As part of the Loyalty Pawn family, I want to share my New Year's resolution with you. This year, my focus is on transforming my physique by reducing body fat from 20% to 15% while gaining an additional 20 pounds of muscle. This involves committing to a healthier diet and bidding farewell to my buddies Jack, Jameson, and Mr. Makers. Fingers crossed for success! Speaking of goals, Team El Camino has set ambitious targets for January. We're aiming for $65,000 in sales, a 20% increase from last year. But that's not all our vision extends throughout the year, with a goal of reaching a layaway balance of $180,000, which marks a $50,000 increase. Considering our current inventory stands at $263,000 and is steadily growing, achieving these milestones is not only feasible but exciting. These would be profitable numbers for Loyalty Pawn as well as our team members. Team El Camino did take the Bronze medal for the month of December but we believe that with motivation and willpower from each team member, we can turn these aspirations into reality. After all, why settle for reaching the moon when there are already footprints on it. Let's aim high and make this year one for the books. In conclusion, I wish everyone a safe and profitable January. Let's embark on this journey together and make 2024 a year of triumph and achievement for Team Loyalty Pawn! Cheers, Tony Mora

Roseville Hello Team Loyalty, As we kick off the new year, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your hard work and dedication throughout 2023. I hope each of you had a safe and enjoyable New Year's celebration, surrounded by loved ones and positive energy. Now, let's channel that energy into making 2024 an even more remarkable year for Loyalty Pawn. Our yearly goals for Roseville in 2024 are ambitious! Goal one is to achieve a loan balance of $1,334,000.00. Goal two is to reach $722,000.00 in sales this year. Goal three is to achieve a layaway balance of $100,000.00. Your dedication to providing excellent service ensures that our customers continue to trust and choose Loyalty Pawn so we can hit our goals. Remember, each contribution, no matter how large or small, contributes to our collective success. Let's embrace the challenges and triumphs that this year will bring, supporting one another every step of the way. Florin Mall Hello Everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year. It's hard to believe that 2023 is already over and we're now in a new year. I'm excited to see what 2024 has in store for us. I have a strong belief that this year will be a record-breaking one for Loyalty Pawn in terms of sales and loan balance. I want to take a moment to congratulate Team Florin for hitting our sales goal for December. Although we fell a little short of our stretch sales goal of $95k, we still achieved an impressive $93.3k in sales. I am incredibly proud of Team Florin for their hard work and dedication. Not only did we meet our sales goal, but we also managed to increase our layaway balance from $77k to almost $90k. This is a great accomplishment! As we enter 2024, we have set even higher goals for Team Florin. We will be striving to put our best foot forward and achieve these goals. It won't be easy, but with strong will and determination, anything is possible. Our yearlong goals are loans to hit $2.25million in loan balance, maintain and hold a $200k layaway balance and $970k in sales by the end of 2024. For the month of January, Team Florin will be aiming for $71k in sales, which is a 20% increase from what we sold in January of 2023 and change our current layaway balance with a 20% increase and end January with $106k in layaway balance. I want to wish everyone a happy new year and let's start off this first month of 2024 strong. Together, we can make this year a successful one for Loyalty Pawn. Happy 2024! A new year is a new chance; to become what you wanted to be and to change what you have been thing of Mark Xiong

Loyalty Pawn Employee Services Corner January … Janus am I; oldest of potentates; Forward I look, and backward, and below I count, as god of avenues and gates, The years that through my portals come and go. –Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, American poet (1807–82)

The Month of January January was named for the Roman god Janus, known as the protector of gates and doorways, who symbolize beginnings and endings. Janus is depicted with two faces, one looking into the past, the other with the ability to see into the future. What a fitting symbol for this first day of the year; this month is our door into the new year. The Romans often made promises to Janus and exchanged good wishes. History of January The months of January and February were not originally in the ancient Roman calendar as the winter months were considered dormant, both in terms of agriculture and also in terms of making war. This was a time of peace. Until 450 BCE, the Roman calendar was 10 months, beginning in March (Martius), due to the March Equinox. Remember, March was named for “Mars,” the god of War who was also an agricultural guardian. We got you covered! January…Celebration Days • •

January 1 is New Year’s Day. January 5 brings Twelfth Night, an English folk custom that marked the end of Christmas merrymaking, and in ancient Celtic tradition, the end of the 12-day winter solstice celebration. On Twelfth Night, it was customary for the assembled company to toast each other from the wassail bowl. January 6 is Epiphany. According to the New Testament’s Gospels, on this date the Magi—the three wise men or kings—venerated and brought gifts to the infant Jesus. Bake a beautiful Epiphany Tart or a King Cake with a lucky bean inside! January 156 is Martin Luther King Jr. Day (observed). This holiday is held on the third Monday in January and honors the principles of this civil rights leader and Nobel Prize Winner dedicated to nonviolence. January 17 is Benjamin Franklin’s birthday. He was not only a world-renowned statesman, inventor, and scientist, but was also fascinated by agriculture.
