Letter from the President

Hello Team Loyalty,

August is here, unbelievable, the year will be two thirds over at the end of this month. We have continued strong loan growth, growing another $70,000.00 in July alone. Our sales have been also continuing to stay strong. We are positioning ourselves to be in a very good position by the end of the year with a goal of pre-COVID numbers. The goal would be to get our loan balance back to preCOVID numbers and continue with our strong sales. Which in case you are not aware or have not been with the company that long we have an approximate 50% increase in sales (only taking in to account instore sales) comparing pre-Covid instore sales numbers and during the pandemic instore sales numbers. That is a terrific number, keep it up!!

Another metric that we have been watching is the amount of goods that we produce organically or the merchandise that comes to our counters both in general merchandise and jewelry inventory. This is an important number to follow as our margins are greater in organically grown merchandise as opposed to the merchandise that we must go source. We need the inventory, so we will continue to keep our showcases and the showroom floors stocked as best we can throughout sourcing but as mentioned earlier margins are better when the product comes to our counter. The product is coming in both in loans which turn into defaults and our over-the-counter purchases, keep it up. This will also boost our company wide scrap sales which is one of the areas that COVID affected us the most, as long as we can continue organically growing this number will also grow. The other revenue area that suffered during COVID was our pawn service charges. This area is also improving and will continue to improve as our loan balance continues to grow and I see no slowing in this part of our business.

The last thing that I have spent much of my time and energy on lately is a federal issue. There have been several federal bills introduced that would put a cap on our interest rate that we are allowed to collect. California Pawnbrokers Association (CAPA) and the National Pawnbrokers Association (NPA) have been working on the best strategy to defeat this industry killing legislation. While California continues to be one of the cheaper states for pawn service charges, we feel that our model is fair for us as a company, but we also provide the only non-recourse collateral loan product at one of the cheapest rates in the nation. We feel extremely confident that we can be exempt from any of this legislation, but we must stay vigilant and work with all our industry partners in defeating this type of industry killing legislation. Any questions please feel free to reach out to me directly.

Thank You Loyalty Pawn Family together we will continue to be the leader in local lending.

Gratefully,

A Letter from the General Manager

Hello Everyone,

Well, it looks as though we are finally getting temperatures that are more doable in the '90s. We have had too many years of constant 100 plus degree days! Sadly though, it seems we're not entirely out of the woods yet when it comes to covid-19. With the direction from Dmae and current regulation in Yolo and Sacramento County, it looks as though we will be back with masks for a while. Even though this is happening, it does seem as though spirits are high at each location. Loyalty Pawn is grateful to have such fantastic teams!

A big shout-out and congratulations are due to our top salespeople of the month. Dominic Tognolini got first place, and he sold $37,466.00. Josh Bonton got second place, who sold $21,147.48, and Juanita Guiterrez got third place who sold $19,681.46.

Congratulations teams!

Fall and winter will be here sooner than we know it! We're anticipating loan growth and full buy buckets. We want to continue to make sure that we are qualifying our clients correctly. Since many people received money this last year, we see an increase in more excellent newer items.

It is nice to see the physical transactions grow again! Along with proper qualifications and items, please consult your manager or management team if you're unsure about taking an item(s).

To conclude, we are looking forward to the day when things can get back to normal. The new mask mandates are a hick-up in the road but, this too shall pass. Thank you to everyone able to perceiver through these times. I know how difficult this has been navigating families, kids, clients, workloads, and up-and-down media. I'm proud that we can all do this together, and I am grateful to be a part of this pawn family.

Sincerely,

Loyalty Pawn Family

Greetings Loyalty Family,

Team Loyalty,

Coming in second means you're still further ahead than third, I always think about it in a positive way. Huge thanks to my team Juanita, Ramsey, Orry and Elsa. They been “snaping necks and cashing checks” Also a big shout out to Juanita for hitting her bonus back-to-back in amounts of 4K or higher she's motivated and productive. We are now getting ready for our next sales event, back to school. Also planting that seed since big holidays are around the corner. We are excited to we’re still in trend for that million-dollar mark which is exciting to see in the horizon. As we get closer to the holidays, I've been in communication with jewelry vendors and luxury handbag vendors, without merchandise you can't reach that goal. The quote stating “it takes money to make money” is always playing in my head. But overall, we’ve seen a surge of new customers which our new media campaign is working! Shout-out to Joseph for the amazing work he’s done on his videos. We need more natural actors like Joe! On another note, we are excited for the new team member coming on board. Team Elco thanks again for the extreme help and positive attitudes especially in these crazy times.

Florin Mall

Hello Loyalty Pawn Family,

Wow, I can’t believe July is over already. I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July. I was a great race for Team Florin and Team Elco to see who can take first place in sales. Team Elco was in the lead for the whole month, but we were able to push ahead in the last few days of the month and was able to take the lead. We ended the month with $91k in sales. Great job to my team here for pushing and closing these amazing deals. We wanted to thank John for providing us with new jewelry inventory. I believe that was what made us hit first place in sales. It's always great to receive new inventory, it changes how the showcase look especially when it is full of awesome new jewelry pieces. We are starting to the wave of loans coming in so make room in your warehouse. Team Florin got their foot on the gas, and we are not stopping. Team Florin grew $51k in loan last month and still holding strong at $1.4mil in loan balance. Sale for the year Team Florin is just shy of $652k trending for $1.1million in sale for the year. We have set our self with a great sales goal of $1million in sales by the end of the year and we are going to continue to push hard to reach those goals. Team Florin will be celebrating their hard work and going out for a night of bowling this month. With all the students are heading back to school, and we have this excellent back to school sales. Let’s Go Team Loyalty!!!!

Hello Team Loyalty,

I want to give a huge shout out to everyone that’s has helped with the online marketing and Facebook videos. I really appreciate all the hard work and creativity; its working and more people are seeing our faces and stores. The more we can be current on social media the bigger our brand will become. I want to encourage any Loyalty Pawn team member to come up with sales ideas or video ideas and just email me and we will make it happen. Let’s be creative and crush our social media image to the point that whenever someone thinks of a pawn shop the only thing the pops in their mind is LOYALTY PAWN. Keep up the great work and let’s take our brand to the MOON! Fun Fact: The average American social media user spends 2.7 hours per day on social media and out of all adults with internet access 71% use social media.

Five hours later.

West Sacramento

Hello Team,

This month I'll pass the torch over to Jason, He will fill in on what's going on in the West Sacramento store. See you guys next month. The holiday season is approaching quickly so we will be training on closing the deal and making sure our customer's needs and wants are met with the concierge level of service Loyalty Pawn delivers! We have a lot going on; Loans and Buys are coming in hot lately! Those extra buys coming in by qualifying the customer properly are going to go a long way this holiday season! Bailey has been doing a great job of getting up to speed at the counter. He has been giving Norma some competition for the top spot in sales at West Sac. So close in July but Norma won those honors by less than two hundred dollars. The competition is heating up! With the new restrictions back in place, we are doing our part in keeping a clean and sanitized store for an inviting environment for all of our Loyalty Pawn Family!

Traditional August Calendar

August 1, traditionally known as Lammas Day, was a festival to mark the annual wheat and corn harvest. Lammas also marked the mid-point between the summer solstice and autumn equinox and was a cross-quarter day.

• August 5 is a Civic Holiday in parts of Canada.

• August 9 starts the Islamic New Year, or the First of Muharram, beginning at sundown. Traditionally, it begins at the first sighting of the lunar crescent after the new Moon.

• August 11 marks the end of the Dog Days of Summer, which began on July 3.

• August 17 is when the Cat Nights begin, harking back to a rather obscure Irish legend concerning witches; this bit of folklore also led to the idea that a cat has nine lives.

• August 19 brings National Aviation Day, chosen for the birthday of Orville Wright who piloted the first recorded flight of a powered heavier-than-air machine in 1903.

14

• August 26 is Women’s Equality Day, which celebrates the 1920 ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment and, with it, women’s right to vote in the United States. My personal favorite!!!
