We brought back a monthly sale for this month, so be sure to check that out. Also we have added a new way to look at the monthly newsletters electronically, it is an online newsletter site called Issuu, there is also an app. So be sure to check that out so you can share with friends and family! Letter from the President Hello Loyalty Pawn Family, Are we tired of this pandemic yet? I know I am!! The good news is that we are strong as ever as a company. Our capital position is strong, our sales are strong, we have added resources for new product (which is flying out of the showcases) and gold and silver are on the rise and should continue to do so! We will come out of this pandemic strong and ready to grow our loan balances again. Which reminds me, congratulations to Team Elco and Team West Sac for ending up July with a higher loan balance then they started the month with. Yay!!! I am sure August will have better results for our loan balance then July so keep up the great work. We are still moving forward with our Loyalty Luxe departments at El Camino and Roseville and are excited to bring more luxury goods to our clients and help our bottom line. With the drop in our loan balance we will need to increase our sales as our loan processing fees will drop due to the drop in our loan balance. I am certain that our loan balance will come back soon, and I believe it will come back fast which is all positive for our company. This is a nationwide industry issue and all the top operators throughout the nation have the same theory. Please be safe for yourself, your families and our entire Loyalty Pawn Family clients and team members during these crazy times, that I hope will someday be over. Also, I would like to give a huge shoutout to all the families out there that need to go back to distance learning again soon, who would have thought we would be teachers. Gratefully Stan Lukowicz

A Letter from the General Manager Greetings Everyone! Many parts are moving in this machine! From all areas of the company, business is starting to pick up. As this is gradual, we are anticipating the next couple of months to be growth months for each location. The outside markets are also doing very funky things. As everyone has noticed, gold has increased exponentially in the last 45 days. Our continued white glove service is happening amidst all societal factors. We are continuing our path to greatness and we couldn’t do it without all of you! As always, we enjoy highlighting the top salespeople for the month! The 1st place goes to Dominic T. sold $37,233.82, 2nd place Marcos Barragan sold $21,458.86 and 3rd place was Rahkell Howard who sold $18,951.16. A big congratulations to the top three salesman and saleswoman. It’s awesome to see some of the aged products move in these last few months. We are seeing increasing # in sales bonus’s each week. Keep up the great work teams! Lately, we have had the opportunity to connect with other business professionals in the pawn world. We occasionally share ideas, best business practice and more. When speaking with these other pawnbrokers, we have developed a network in sharing best practices and speak about our struggles while highlighting our successes. We have been extremely fortunate to develop eager, motivated and engaged individuals who help share our vision, values and goals. Many other businesses still are wondering how we do, what we do? The foundation for Loyalty Pawn has been laid out clearly in our VVG. I have witnessed this on many accounts through engaged morning huddles, professional client communication and how I have observed on how we are treating one another. We all have much to be proud of. I hope everyone else feels the same way! To conclude, normal business, economic and social rebound is inevitable. While all of us hang in there for the prospect of better news, and positive change, we are presented with new challenges. A challenge that hits home for everyone locally is the distance education that will be in place the start of the school year. Many parents will be scrambling with finding the right resources to help educate their children. Electronics such as tablets, Chromebooks and laptops will be a hot item in months to come. We will do everything we can to help keep stock needed items and follow up with potential clients to help fulfill these needs. If there is any time to be creative, now is the time! Sincerely, Wayne Silliman General Manager “When you had a taste of excellence, you can not go back to mediocrity”. -Maximillian Degenerez

Shop Talk Manager Updates El Camino Team Loyalty, July was a pretty busy month for team El Camino. We are continuing to take advantage of this time to complete projects and go through every inch of this store. We have done everything from taking the display shelves apart to clean them all up to pressure washing and scrubbing the parking lot. We have also been working on a few other projects to improve the store which we’re excited to share with all of you when we are all complete. Lastly, we have been working with the team here to keep each other accountable and not let one person slip up. We have been training and helping each other be better since we know that as a team we are only as strong as our weakest link. Javier Becerra

Florin Mall Hello Loyalty Pawn Family, I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. Wow I can’t believe we just ended our first month of 3rd quarter for 2020. Florin had an excellent month in July we sold just a little over $80k for last month and the whole team here is excited. We are also excited that we sold $20k more this year compare to what we did in July of 2019 at $60k. We are also excited with the new jewelry inventory that we have just received. Once we receive the new jewelry Team Florin sold an average about 8 jewelry pieces per day for the last week of July. Marcos Barragan just had a birthday last month on the 25th of July. Florin is still trying to hold on to $1.3 loan balance and we are trying to do what we can to increase that balance but properly qualifying our Loyalty Clients and trying to see if we can increase their loans. We are also doing our part in sterilizing and cleaning our counter 3 times per day. Let’s go Team Loyalty for another awesome month in August and stay safe everyone. “If you want to be successful, you must respect one rule: Never lie to yourself. “ Mark Xiong

Roseville Hello Team Loyalty, I hope you all and your families are staying safe. I want to give a shoutout to the Roseville team for the continued vigilance and dedication to the store and the safety of our customers. I know this has been a trying time for everyone and I greatly appreciate all the hard work and commitment shown from all the Loyalty team members. Thank you! I know that we have been experiencing a shortage of product coming out for sale and we are trying to find new and creative was to fill the store’s with merchandise. One thing that we have done at Roseville as we are cleaning and organizing the warehouse is finding product to sell. We have takin all the extra guitar and instrument gig bags and priced them and put them out for sale and they are selling. We also have taking all the extra excess cords and cables and priced them, and they are selling. Little items add up and are often an easy add-on to other sales. Be creative and you can make things happen! 5

Monthly Birthstones This will help educate you about some of the more popular semi and precious stones we come across and it will also help you close some more sales. The idea is to educate you on next month’s birthstone as you can arrange your cases properly and make suggestions to our clients that may be browsing or even looking for a gift. Let’s think outside the box when utilizing this information

JULY Rubies, the birthstone of July, are considered the king of gems and represent love, health and wisdom. It was believed wearing a fine red Ruby bestowed good fortune on its owner. A Ruby is the most valuable gemstone and its value increases based on its color and quality. AUGUST Peridot, showcases a lime green color. It is one of the only gemstones that exist in only one single color. Peridot is unique in its legend; it is believed to instill power and influence upon the wearer, as well as bring magical powers and properties that protect against nightmares. SEPTEMBER Sapphire, is the birthstone of September. The Sapphire can be found in almost every color including pink, yellow, green, etc but it is most desirable in its pure, rich blue color. In the Middle Ages, the gem was believed to protect those close to you from harm and also represented loyalty and trust.

HOW IT SPREADS- It is thought to spread mainly from person to person, mainly through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs. Its spread is more likely when people are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet). It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes. This is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads, but we are still learning more about this virus. The virus that causes COVID-19 is spreading very easily and sustainably between people. Information from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic suggests that this virus is spreading more quickly than influenza. If you have questions about COVID-19 and need assistance finding information online or clarification regarding the information, a statewide hotline number is available 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., 7 days a week at (833) 544-2374. Testing in California Twenty-five public health labs in California are testing samples for COVID-19. Types of tests Two kinds of tests are available for COVID-19: Tests for current COVID-19 infection (also known as viral PCR tests) and tests for past infection (also known as antibody or serology tests). California’s communitybased testing sites by Verily’s Project Baseline and OptumServe provide viral tests to determine if individuals have COVID-19. Antibody tests detect past infections (but not current infections). They are used to detect past COVID-19 infections in an individual and can be used to determine if you are a good candidate to donate blood plasma. It can take 1-3 weeks after infection for your body to make antibodies. You can find locations for both viral and antibody tests https://covid19.ca.gov/testing-and-treatment/#top Cost for testing…There are no out-of-pocket costs for testing. If you have medical insurance, Verily or OptumServe will bill your insurance company. If you are uninsured, your viral test is paid for by the government. Who can get tested? Testing is prioritized for individuals who are at high risk, including hospitalized patients, healthcare workers, first responders and essential workers, people with symptoms, residents and employees in group living facilities and people who may have been exposed in high-risk situations. As testing capacity continues to increase statewide, local health officers can expand testing within their communities. How you can get testedàCalifornia has partnered with Verily and OptumServe to provide free, confidential testing statewide. The state’s testing program ensures that every county has enough testing capacity, and that tests are available for underserved communities and individuals who are at high risk of contracting COVID-19 or becoming seriously ill from the virus. Register with LHI to get tested—hereà https://lhi.care/covidtesting Enjoy the month of August filled with all kinds of cool and kooky celebrations, good health prevention practices, and personal celebrations!
