Back in 1822, 200 years ago this year, founder Edouard Bovet, a watchmaker from Fleurier, Switzerland, and traveled the world. Due to this amazing history, the House of BOVET is inextricably linked to travel, and the House’s collection is complete with several double-, triple-, and world-time timepieces, all of which have been very successful with collectors around the world over the last 20 years.
As a result, multiple time zone timepieces are in the DNA of the House, and BOVET has produced a number of different variations on this theme.
In 2020, BOVET introduced the Récital 26 Chapter Two, the timepiece which received the “Mechanical Exception” award at the 2020 GPHG, featured a universal time sub dial at three o’clock, taking the multiple time zone display a step further.
Now, to celebrate BOVET’s 200th anniversary, the House is proud to introduce the Orbis Mundi.
THE NEED
Imagine you are on a business trip from Miami to Geneva, Switzerland, then on to Dubai, and finally finishing in Singapore. Just figuring out exactly what time it is after crossing several time zones is challenging enough, and, if you are wearing a standard world time watch, chances are the world time information on the dial is too small for your weary eyes to actually read.
To address this need, BOVET 1822 has developed a major advancement in the setting and using of the world time function – the Orbis Mundi.
This new timepiece shows all 24 time zones at a glance, thanks to its top-of-the-world display, and all functions are set using just the crown. This display makes reading the time anywhere in the world a breeze.
The world today is getting smaller and smaller, as more people are working from home and interacting more and more with others from all around the globe.
BOVET 1822 might be based above the small village of Fleurier in Switzerland, but there are BOVET collectors and partners all around the world. So, it’s more important than ever to know what time it is anywhere and everywhere in the world.

Qatari composer and distinguished singer-songwriter Dana Al Fardan announces the release of ‘Onyx,’ the last single of her longexpected album, ‘Indigo.’ Ethereal as it is subtle, ‘Onyx’ transcends physical barriers to speak directly to the soul with a powerful beat that holds in its folds sweet-sounding melodies and lyrics that inspire the unleashing of one’s intuitive willpower.
Drawing inspiration from the black onyx stone for its strength and resolution, the song is the perfect closure to the musical saga that is ‘Indigo.’ ‘Onyx’ is an ode to the pursuit of happiness from within, encouraging listeners to accept that contentment is a personal responsibility regardless of outside factors. As the melodies play, the spellbinding tunes seize control from the brain and hand it to the heart, embarking the soul on a spiritual journey whereby at its end, listeners will let go of what holds them back and grow. Dana employed musical instruments and vocal techniques that would ignite the third eye chakra, or the Ajna, which is linked to perception, awareness, and spiritual communication. The heavenly vibrations of her voice build the spiritual bridge one needs to reach fulfillment. She sings: “the wound is the place the light enters,” reminding us that we are the only ones responsible for finding the light within to heal and become happy.
Inspired by the Theory of Colours by German poet, artist, and politician Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, ‘Indigo’ is an album that explores sound, color, and the multi-sensory experiences that lie beyond. Commenting on the album as a whole Dana said: “Each piece was composed in a color scheme to capture a mood and a state of being.” All tracks will have corresponding conceptual, abstract videos, allowing each listener to create their own, personal meaning.
Following the release of Onyx, the latest single off her upcoming album Indigo, Dana performed an exclusive show at London’s distinctive The Ned, an architectural masterpiece in the heart of the city known for its private members-only spaces. Becoming the very first Qatari musician to perform at The Ned, Dana performed six songs off her upcoming album Indigo alongside a chamber orchestra, the album’s producer Nico Dalla Vecchia, and music director Youki Yamamoto.
Priding herself on being Qatar’s first female composer, the world-renowned symphonic artist is a proud Qatari who stays true to her roots. The music she creates brings together contemporary, western, and neo-classical influences that blend with the musical heritage of the Middle East. “I tend to stay away from the word ‘fusion’ as it sometimes implies a ‘watering-down’ of one style or another. So, the idea is to preserve the authenticity of one style of sound and build it into another in a way that fits without one having to accommodate the other by deconstructing itself.” Dana stated.
When it comes to accomplishments, Dana Al Fardan is not one to hold back; she is a Cultural Ambassador to the Qatari Philharmonic Orchestra, and, since 2018, Qatar Airways has adopted her songs as its signature onboarding music. Outside of her home country, her impact is far-reaching; the celebrated artist created the score for the prize-winning film Orca, wrote music
for the UN Day Concert, performed with the London Metropolitan Orchestra at the Theater Royal Haymarket, and composed the music for the humanitarian “Bring Hope for Gaza” campaign.
Collaborating with Lebanese-British West End actor, singer, and writer Nadim Naama, Dana is now exploring what theater has to offer. The duo writes and produces musicals that aim to “bring universal, liberal and transcendental figures and thoughts from the Middle East to a global Western audience and West End stage.” In 2018, ‘Broken Wings,’ a musical that follows the life of Lebanese-American writer Khalil Gibran, premiered with sell-out shows at the Haymarket Theater in London, the Beiteddine Festival in Lebanon, Katara Opera House in Qatar, and The Dubai Opera; this was followed by a sixweek run at London’s Charing Cross Theater in 2022.
Her second show, the highly-praised ‘Rumi The Musical’ debuted in 2021 depicting the life of the historical poet Jalal Al-Din Rumi. The London Theater Reviews described Dana’s score as “Intense, dramatic and beautiful... Elegant, powerful, and evocative music: it is not hard to see it becoming a hit in the West End.”
Despite the differences between the two musicals, their end goal is one, and that is to introduce Arab figures to new audiences, building on Dana’s vision to showcase her culture to the world through her art.
Dana continues to explore an uncharted soundscape that only she has a compass to, bringing her audience a step closer to healing and ultimately self-discovery.‘Onyx’ is out on Dana Al Fardan’s YouTube channel, her website, and all other major streaming platforms on August 9th.

The three-floor store is equipped with the latest technology including self-checkout, robotic click and collect, and smart fitting rooms.
ARA opens its most innovative store in Doha’s newest luxury venue, Place Vendôme with three floors dedicated for shoppers to indulge their passion for fashion. The Spanish apparel retailer will debut its stunning new store, housed in a specially designed ‘villa’ with a tree-planted rooftop, as a stand-alone building inside the mall.
With more than 3000 m2 of floor and retail space, the new store offers menswear on the ground floor, womenswear on the upper ground level, and childrenswear + TRF on the top floor.
The new store embodies ZARA’s renewed image, with new product display areas and highly efficient technology to ensure the very best in service quality. An elegant villainspired interior space further shines the spotlight on the fashion collections on display.
A first for ZARA in Qatar, this store also has specific areas designed to showcase the brand’s most recent product launches, such as the ZARA Beauty cosmetics line in the women’s section, and Athleticz, sports equipment collection in the men’s section.
ZARA’s cosmetics line has a wide range of beauty products for eyes, lips, face, and nails. It uses top-quality formulas in refillable containers and a palette of more than 130 colours mixed in matte, metallic, glossy, or pearl finishes in a wide range of shades. The beauty section also has a virtual fitting room with integrated touch devices for face trials.
Athleticz is ZARA’s collection of sports equipment for every athlete. It offers a wide range of products that combine technical features with sustainable materials, simple looks, and supreme comfort. From footwear to shorts, underwear, and backpacks, Athleticz offers performance products for training in any sport.
On the women’s floor, shoppers will also find a completely exclusive-to-ZARA concept of a shoe store within the ZARA store, fitted with self-checkout tills that further elevate the customer’s shopping experience.
With this new store concept, ZARA seeks to offer customers a unique fashion experience with Qatar’s first-of-its-kind smart
fitting rooms. Using integrated sensors, the Smart Fitting Room identifies the exact items a customer brings into the fitting room. On screens or mirrors, it then indicates which colours, models and sizes are available directly in the store, online, or in other stores.
Adding to the smooth and enjoyable atmosphere is a selfcheckout area for smoother transactions and the advanced Silo – an online shopping collection point with a robotic unit designated to dispatch online orders for customers opting for click and collect service.
These new features represent another step forward in the Inditex Group’s online and store integration strategy, boosted by the development of its own distinctive technological ecosystem: Inditex Open Platform. This proprietary, open and modular digital architecture means they can move forward in real-time customer adaptation, offering customers a new experience in both fashion and brand.
In line with ZARA’s commitment to sustainability, the store in Place Vendôme will adopt several green strategies, as ZARA works continuously to integrate sustainability into its teams’ daily decision-making by means of a holistic roadmap that includes objectives for every phase of the value chain.
ZARA’s commitment is that at least 50% of the garments it sells will be manufactured under its Join Life standard by 2022; the standard labels garments produced with more sustainable materials and processes.
While the retail giant has multiple brick and mortar stores in Doha, shopping enthusiasts can eagerly look forward to the launch of this one-of-akind store in the Lusail city.
It is applied with a plan that is specially designed for the respective patient. Thus, it provide a more aesthetic smile design.
The All on Four Treatment is a technique that is applied for the patients who are not able to use prosthesis due to excessive bone loss and, that enables these patients to have and use temporary dentures within one day. Osteoporosis is in general less severe in the front area.
It is easier to be cleaned compared to the classic implant treatment.
The patients should regularly take their medicines and avoid hot meals for a few days. During the temporary denture periods after the placement of implants with the All on Four Treatment, the patients must avoid solid food. The patients must have a regime containing only soft food. This is because it is intended to minimize the load on the tooth implants. With the fixed prosthesis that will be placed 3 months after the commencement of the operation, they may start their routine food regime.
Research shows that the All on Four procedure is a treatment method with a high success rate as proven in the long term follow-ups
Thisis a treatment approach that rehabilitate the total toothless patients by means of only 4 implants on each jaw within a procedure that is quickly applied. This technique keeps the jaw bones health and prevents further osteoporosis. This All on Four Technique is a fast and reliable alternative also for those who wish to have implants but have not sufficient amount of bone density, resulting in a natural appearance.
It is a short treatment approach tolerable by the patient by means of eliminating the bone grafting that is an invasive and expensive treatment that takes longer to be completed. Full oral rehabilitation takes about 2 hours.
It is an ideal treatment choice for the patients with diabetes, osteoporosis or other health problems, for which bone grafting is a contraindication.
It provides great convenience to the patient since it takes one day to place a temporary fixed denture. Conventional techniques, on the other hand, include more than one operations and, it may take more than one year.
Since the number of implants is less, the cost is less than the classic implant treatment.
When receiving a dental filling, it is helpful to be aware of the different materials that are available.
There are several options, and the best dental filling material is based on the patient’s particular needs and desires.
By having a full understanding of the different types of dental filling material and discussing which option is best, patients can ensure they receive a dental filling that lasts for a long time and doesn’t cause any dental concerns.
The following are the four dental filling types that dentists are most likely to recommend.
» Composite resin: the best thing about a composite resin dental filling is that it blends in very well with natural teeth. subsequently, composite resins are great options for a dental filling that is needed on the front teeth or any tooth highly visible to others.
» Silver amalgam: has been the most recommended dental filling for many years, the biggest benefit to silver amalgam is that it tends to last much longer than various other form of dental fillings.
» Cast gold: as with almost anything of high quality, a gold dental filling may cost more than a composite resin or porcelain inlay, however it may be the best investment depending on which tooth the dental filling is needed. Also, keep in mind that cast gold dental fillings may not look completely natural.
» Porcelain inlays: porcelain inlays are unique compared to other dental filling materials in the sense that they are more durable than a composite resin and give a more natural look than gold or silver dental fillings.

ith more than two and a half million followers on Instagram, Reem Abu Samra is one of the most influential bloggers in the travel domain. Her travel destinations vary, so that with every trip, there is a new story
that she conveys through images to her followers. Those who follow her notice a difference in the content she provides; it is neither excessive nor vulgar, but rather presents the world in an image.
Upon being asked how she opts for her destination and how she shares the experience with her followers, she told us that she has a constant passion for diversifying places and visiting new ones. Every time, she focuses on acquiring a culture or recalling a memory of a place she had previously visited. She is also keen to provide followers with short and expressive photos and videos without verbal comments, as the image is always more expressive and meaningful than speech, and the video is more realistic as it carries the followers to a place and makes them feel its beauty. One of the most important reasons why she focuses on videos and images is that her followers are of different nationalities and speak multiple languages. That is, she aims at addressing everyone, especially since she prefers the visual language for its ease of understanding.
Among the most important places that she visited this year was Rome, the city she admires. It is not her first visit to Rome, but every time she visits, she views it differently, finding new things to enjoy. She is captivated and fascinated by the nobility of that city and the beauty of its places. It is more than a tourist destination. It is a historical icon. She chose to stay at the Rome Cavalieri Waldorf Astoria, which is distinguished by its large gardens inspired by the Mediterranean style and its view that looks out on the capital, Rome, and the Vatican State from its location on a hilltop in the Riserva naturale di Monte Mario.
Speaking about how she handpicks clothes and what her main focus is in the first place, she said that she chooses cozy and comfortable clothes, taking into account the nature of the place she is visiting. This does not mean that all her looks are casual, as she might be invited to evening parties or attend wedding parties while traveling. What matters for her is that the costumes should be comfortable, elegant and colorful, as colors add a character of joy.
Among the crucial tips that Reem gave to women was to enjoy the place and not be overly preoccupied with how they should appear on social media pages. Documentation and taking photos are important but are not the main goal. “We must live all the details,” she said, “explore a new culture, try dishes that we have not tried before, have adventures, and try to integrate with the indigenous people of the place to get to know them more”.
From her viewpoint, it is important to have positive energy when traveling and adapting to everyone as the main goal is enjoyment and learning from new experiences. We may have to move in different ways, such as walking sometimes, and we may face unpredictable and difficult climatic conditions. Our first and last goal is to enjoy our time, explore, and learn about different cultures. from the Boucheron workshops in 1968, the Serpent Bohème collection has transcended the ages and has made its mark as one of the Maison’s iconic pieces. Its emblematic codes, the diamond-studded droplet, and its honeycomb latticework or embossed gold, are testament to the High Jewelry skills of the Boucheron artisans. If, over time, the motif has taken liberties, played with its materials and how it should be worn, 2022 sees a whole new chapter written in the history of this iconic range of jewelry, reinterpreting the Serpent Bohème codes, with a new, solar identity.
Designed in the Maison’s creative studio, the new line Serpent Bohème Solarité is bold in its creation of pieces with infinite radiance: huge sun-like hoops, asymmetric earrings that unfold behind the ear, a spectacular necklace with 360-degree motifs. Radiant creations that revisit the Serpent Bohème codes to enhance their reinvention.
This sun-lit glow is also embodied in the Bright Anyway campaign featuring three Maison Boucheron ambassadors, Alexa Chung, Yoon-jung Go and Rola. A radiant trio for a new line full of style and energy, they encapsulate Boucheron’s creativity.

Available in white gold and yellow gold, it reinterprets the Serpent Bohème codes taking the sun as its guide. Diversifying the shapes of the diamond droplets and varying the intensity of the rays thanks to the beads of gold, it sits gently around the neck like a delicate halo of light.

These discreet yet radiant ear studs pair beautifully with a white cotton shirt over raw denim by day, or with chic tuxedo trousers by night. Mix as you desire with the Serpent Bohème collection to vary the level of intensity.
A long discussion about “appropriate” colors inspired me and Ahmed (the photographer) to create this shoot.
Ioften hear from my clients: “This color doesn’t suit me!” But I’m convinced that there are no restrictions on any colors, especially in today’s fashion. Every new season, designers all over the world present absolutely all colors in different shades on the catwalks. Fashion is not about color. Fashion is about trendy form and, of course, individuality.
So, as a stylist, I strongly believe that you are free to choose any color you love. You should not deny yourself this pleasure because of well-known stereotypes and prejudices about suitable or trendy colors. All you need is to find and figure out your best shade, the potential of your individual color palette that will highlight your natural beauty.
Your most complementary shades will be based on the color of your skin, hair, and eyes. There are two areas to consider when analyzing your color - your base skin tone and your overall coloring. Your base skin tone will be either warm or cool, while your overall coloring takes your eye and hair color into consideration.
People with cool skin tones usually look their best wearing clothes or makeup with cold undertones. And people with warm skin tones tend to look best in warm-based colors.
If you have pink or rosy skin undertones and you love red, just go for it! However, a cool shade of this color will probably look best on you.
Or if you have a yellowish or a golden brown undertone and let’s say you love lilac color, then try to find a warm shade as it will bring out your natural undertone more.
In addition to the above, I believe that the most important things in fashion are individuality, charisma, a smile, and decency. For me, style means being a cool person, no matter what color you’re wearing.

7. What inspired you to launch your new menu in Qatar?
Doha is an excellent place to introduce my flavorful style of South-East Asian cuisine to complement the country’s diverse culinary experiences that include a range of international cuisines, such as South American, Pan Asian, and Middle Eastern. I was inspired to introduce this menu due to the underrepresentation of the cuisine of Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, and Thailand, in the local gastronomic scene. South-East Asia is a region that has so much diversity and flavor to offer food enthusiasts.
Since then, I’ve received a number of awards and commendations, including my flagship restaurant, Tom Aikens winning a Michelin star and rising 2 star in 2009 and my restaurant Muse, which I opened in 2020, winning a host of awards, including its first Michelin star in January 2021, despite having only being open for just 7 months in 2020 due to various lockdowns, as well as The Hardens London Restaurant Award for “Best Gastronomic Experience” in September 2021 and the “Best Restaurant Design” at the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards in October 2021.
Igrew up in in Norfolk in the UK with a father working in the wine industry and a childhood spent gardening and cooking with my mother. This is when I learnt how to make use of the freshest ingredients, putting food at the centre of my life from a very early age.
Spending most of my holidays in France, I developed a flavour for French food which inspired me to develop my cooking skills further, so I enrolled at the Norwich City College Hotel School and completed an Advanced Catering Diploma in 1989 and then began my career at Michelinstarred Cavalier’s in Battersea, London.
After that I moved onto The Capital Hotel working under Philip Britten, followed by a chef-de-partie position with Pierre Koffmann at La Tante Claire at a time when the restaurant was awarded with its third Michelin star. I later worked for Joel Robuchon in Paris, Gérard Boyer in Reims and Pied-à-Terre to name a few. After all that I became the youngest British chef ever to be awarded two Michelin stars, at age 26 in Pied-à-Terre.
In addition to my culinary passion, I am also an avid sportsman with a great passion for cycling. I entered multiple races, including the Marmotte, Luc Alphand and the Etape de Tour up Mount Ventoux. In addition to participating in several London Marathons, I also completed the Marathon des Sables in 2010, running six marathons across the Sahara Desert in five days to raise money for Facing Africa.

NAUA is the Arabic word for nucleus of the seed. It is the root of life and the very heart of our nature that nurtures us. I chose the name because it engulfs the essence of life, wellbeing and healthy eating, and looking back at the origin of life is the idea that can propel the concept forward.
NAUA is not about what you must and mustn’t eat, but to show you how creative and delicious healthy food can be. Most people view healthy food as bland boring and tasteless, which is so far from the truth. It is very important that we educate ourselves into a better understanding of healthy eating as it affects everyone on the planet.
NAUA’s philosophy aligns perfectly with the JW Marriott brand that is dedicated to creating experiences that focus on the ‘whole You’ and ‘Nourish Your Soul’ to feed not just the body, but also the soul. This partnership with the JW Marriott brand comes from our shared focus on the importance of holistic nourishment that delivers quality food that is sustainable, traceable, and healthy for the guests that will support them to bolster their journey toward a healthy lifestyle.
Now open at 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, and operated by JW Marriott, guests can look forward to an exquisite culinary and dining experience at NAUA Restaurant.
NAUA offers fresh, delicious and mindful dishes, free from fads and the obvious trends. Guests will dine in a place of calm, encapsulated in a unique setting with menus showcasing global cuisine, harmonising the connection between nature, nutritional importance and experiential cooking.
NAUA is a hub for mindful and healthy eating, offering refined dishes made from high-quality, seasonal ingredients that do not compromise on freshness or flavour, while delivering outstanding health benefits to our customers.
Offering ethically and health-conscious food, with produce that is sourced from local and global suppliers, NAUA is set to become Doha’s premier destination for diners who seek the ultimate fusion of healthy living and gourmet food.
NAUA boasts a variety of dishes with mindful recipes and ingredients with starters including our special House Made Turmeric Ricotta, exotic Cauliflower & Raisin Tabbouleh, and Prawn Skewers. Our mains feature delightful items including the Lamb Loin, Sheeps Cheese Emulsion and the Spinach & Kale Dumplings, Herb Broth; and our desserts menu feature special creations including the Chocolate Avocado & Lime, and the Cacao, Carob, Reshi Hazelnut Tart, created with vegans in mind.
The hospitality sector in Qatar is booming. with the advent of the much-anticipated FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and the many other major sporting and international events that will follow it, the country is on an upward trajectory in the tourism and hospitality sector as it consolidates its position as a prime global destination for tourism, business, and sporting events.
After the great success of my three restaurant concepts in the Edition Hotel, Abu Dhabi, the ground-breaking hotel concept brought by Ian Schrager in collaboration with Marriott International, and with NAUA now taking off, I’m sure I’ll be looking forward to introducing some new concepts in the region at some future point as I aim to introduce my style of healthy culinary creations to a wider audience.
• Can you give us a background of NAUA, what’s the concept behind it? What’s the rationale behind its name?
a new restaurant concept from celebrated Turkish chef Esat Akyldiz, has opened its doors at Le Royal Méridien Doha, the timelessly chic hotel located in the heart of Lusail.
The restaurant takes food lovers in Qatar on an epicurean journey across the 7 regions of Anatolia, boasting an array of spectacular culinary delights.
Abiding by his motto; “have fun with new tastes and enjoy the experience,” Chef Esat designed the menu at Yedi to deliver the spirit of feel-good living and to offer tantalising street food from Anatolia’s seven regions, Marmara, the Aegean, the Mediterranean, Black Sea, Central Anatolia, Eastern Anatolia, and South-eastern Anatolia.
All plates are crafted using local fresh ingredients and are thoughtfully prepared to give diners an authentic taste of Turkey’s rich food culture and exquisite flavours. CHEF AT LE ROYAL MERIDIEN DOHA
Yedi’s menu is a culinary sampler of the Anatolian region and its vast gourmet and street food offerings. The menu is comprised of Turkish mezzes, flatbreads (pide), pastas (manti and eriste), street food, charcoal grills, Anatolian main dishes, and desserts. Chef’s favorites include Kumru, a traditional sandwich from Izmir in the Aegean Sea Region made of a soft sesame coated bun, beef sujuk sausages, grilled kashkaval cheese and condiments. Adana Kebap, wild mushroom pide, and manti in two very distinct styles. Those with a sweet tooth will indulge in chef’s special Saffron Kunefe dessert, served with pistachio and vanilla ice cream.
Commenting on his new venture, Chef Esat Akyildiz, said: “I’m incredibly excited to open Yedi at Le Royal Méridien in Doha and to welcome food lovers from all around Qatar to savor unique Anatolian flavors and enjoy diverse tastes of Turkey. I invite everyone to join us as we explore the true breadth and depth of Turkish cuisine in a warm and elegant atmosphere.”
Gerrit Graf, General Manager of Le Royal Meridien Doha, said: “Chef Esat is bringing our curious and discerning guests an unprecedented trip to discover the cuisine and culture of Turkey. We are delighted to be the home for Yedi and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone.”
A distinguished chef, Esat’s career has taken him around the world. Departing from his hometown at the tender age of 15 to work in Izmir, a Turkish coastal town famous for its fish and seafood, he then attended the renowned Mengen Culinary Institute in Bolu, after which his career took off, taking him to top luxury hotels in Turkey, and on to leading world-famous kitchens in the Middle East and Central Asia.
During his career, he led culinary teams in high profile VIP events such as the G20 Future Investment Initiative and the OSCE Summit Gala Dinner, which was attended by 56 presidents and heads of state. In 2019, Chef Esat received the prestigious “Executive Chef of the Year Award” in Marriott’s Luxury Properties in the Middle East.
His recent restaurant at Le Royal Meridien Doha is exquisitely designed with an open kitchen concept and a vast dining area that can comfortably accommodate large groups and events. The sleek modern Ottoman-inspired decor is enhanced with embellished items such as tall iznik teapots, antique glass vases, and colourful mosaic lamps, all handpicked by Chef Esat from the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul and the local markets in other regions. Accents of Turkish blue in high-quality leather complement the neutral toned fabric upholstery and premium leather seats. Yedi also has a large terrace with easy access to Place Vendôme Mall. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast service is from 6:30 am – 10:30 am on weekdays and from 6:30 – 11:30 am on weekends. Lunch and dinner service is from 11:00am – 11:00pm.

After years of anticipation by the international automotive fraternity, Ferrari today unveiled the Purosangue, the first ever four-door, four-seater car in the Prancing Horse’s 75-year history, in the magnificently atmospheric surroundings of the Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico (Pisa).
• The Prancing Horse’s first ever four-door four-seater, the Purosangue, was unveiled today
• The Purosangue is equipped with Maranello’s iconic naturally-aspirated V12 which can unleash a massive 725 cv
• Vehicle dynamics inspired by the Prancing Horse’s most extreme sports cars make the Purosangue an authentic Ferrari four-door sports car
• The Purosangue sets a new standard in the automotive industry, thanks to its innovative layout
Since the marque’s earliest years, 2+2 cars (i.e. with two front and two smaller back seats) have played a significant role in its strategy. Many Ferraris have made combining benchmark performance with first class comfort one of the pillars of their success. Now, in the culmination of 75 years of leading-edge research, Ferrari has created a car that is unique on the world stage: not only do performance, driving pleasure and comfort coexist in perfect harmony, but it is also a peerless encapsulation of the Prancing Horse’s iconic DNA. Which is the reason why the name Purosangue, Italian for ‘thoroughbred’, was chosen.
To enable the company to achieve the ambitious goals set for this project and create a car worthy of a place in its range, a completely different layout and innovative proportions compared to modern GT archetypes (so-called crossovers and SUVs) were adopted. The average modern GT’s engine is mounted forwards in the car, almost straddling the front axle with the gearbox coupled directly to it: this results in less than optimal weight distribution that delivers driving dynamics and driving pleasure well
short of the standards of excellence to which Prancing Horse clients and enthusiasts have become accustomed.
The Purosangue, on the other hand, has a mid-front-mounted engine with the gearbox at the rear to create a sporty transaxle layout. The Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is coupled in front of the engine to provide a unique 4x4 transmission. This delivers exactly the 49:51% weight distribution that Maranello’s engineers deem optimal for a mid-front-engined sports car.
The Purosangue stands head and shoulders above the rest of the market thanks to its performance and comfort. It is the only car with these proportions to sport a mid-front-mounted, naturally-aspirated V12: Maranello’s most iconic engine debuts in this brand new configuration to ensure the car unleashes more power than any other in the segment (725 cv) whilst guaranteeing the most enthralling Ferrari engine soundtrack. Furthermore, it can deliver 80% torque even at low revs for unique driving pleasure at all times.
The Purosangue’s aero development focused on making the bodywork, underbody and rear diffuser as efficient as possible. New solutions include synergy between the front bumper and wheelarch trim which generates an air curtain that aerodynamically seals the front wheels, preventing turbulent transverse air flows being generated.
Ferrari has also given the Purosangue the very latest iterations of the vehicle dynamic control systems introduced on its most powerful and exclusive sports cars, including independent four-wheel steering and ABS ‘evo’ with the 6-way Chassis Dynamic Sensor (6w-CDS). Making its world debut is the F.A.S.T. (Ferrari Active Suspension Technology) system. This very effectively controls body roll in corners as well as the tyre contact patch over high-frequency bumps to deliver the same performance and handling response as in one of the marque’s sports cars.
The all-new chassis has a carbon-fibre roof as standard to keep weight down and lower the centre of gravity. Redesigning the bodyshell from scratch also meant the designers could incorporate rear-hinged back doors (welcome doors) to make ingress and egress easier while keeping the car as compact as possible. The cabin has four generous heated electric seats that will comfortably accommodate four adults. The boot is the largest ever seen on a Ferrari and the rear seats fold to increase the luggage space. Naturally enough, the Purosangue has a more commanding driving position than other Ferraris, but the configuration is the same as on every other Ferrari. As a result, the driving position is still intimate and close to the floor to provide greater connection to the car’s dynamic capabilities.
The Purosangue offers class-leading performance figures (from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 s and from 0 to 200 in 10.6 s); the driving position and the heady, naturallyaspirated V12 soundtrack deliver an entirely new yet also entirely Ferrari driving experience. The fact that a vast array of comfort-focused content is provided as standard, such as the Burmester© audio system, and that the many optional extras including the brand-new Alcantara® upholstery, derived from certified recycled polyester, make the PUROSANGUE the most complete four-door, fourseater in the segment.

• The Genesis G70 Shooting Brake will make its Middle East & Africa debut this September
• Genesis transforms the awardwinning Genesis G70 sedan into an iconic Shooting Brake
• The G70 Shooting Brake takes the athletic exterior of the New G70 and adds practicality with increased trunk space
Today, Genesis Middle East & Africa has announced the official regional launch of the G70 Shooting Brake.
The name “Shooting Brake” refers to a car body style that is firmly rooted in the automotive history of Europe, and is a reoccurring theme for manufacturers in the premium luxury sector.
First premiered at the 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the G70 Shooting Brake is based on the new G70 sedan, with the added practicality of increased trunk space. It highlights the athletic aspect in the balance of ‘Athletic Elegance,’ which is Genesis’ design identity.
The G70 Shooting Brake will be an important model for Genesis.
As a luxury car, it will offer customers greater practicality, and it will further expand the Genesis lineup to meet various customers’ needs.
The G70 Shooting Brake is the same size as the new G70, measuring in at 4,685 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,400 mm tall, with a 2,835 mm wheelbase. Meanwhile, the luggage space is 40 percent larger than the G70 sedan and its rear seats can be split-folded in a versatile 4:2:4 format.
Inheriting its design from the new G70 sedan, the G70 Shooting Brake’s signature Crest Grille is set lower than the Quad Lamps, which spread outward evokes a sprinter’s pre-race posture and highlight the model’s athletic design.
When viewed from the side, the combination of the single-piece glass hatch that extend to the rear and the “floating type” integral spoiler creates a unique impression to the exterior that communicates the G70 Shooting Brake’s athletic intent.
At the rear, the trunk, which maximizes space by moving the tailgate hinge forward, embodies the benefits of functional design. The Quad Lamps, which represent the epitome of Genesis’ design identity, extend to the surface of the hatch to create a unique impression.
Omar Al-Zubaidi, Head of Genesis Middle East & Africa commented “The G70 Shooting Brake combines the type of athletic exterior design that reflects Genesis’ design identity with the practicality of the Shooting Brake. We look forward to introducing this luxury vehicle to the Middle East & Africa market, which has already received huge praise from the international community.”
