I’ve just returned from a soul-soothing vacation, and this evening finds me back at my desk, a warm cup of coffee in hand. Beyond the wide glass of my office window, the Doha skyline shimmers, steel catching the last light of day. As I sip and let the city breathe around me, a favorite line from Rumi drifts to my mind,
“Try to accept the changing seasons of your heart, even as you have always accepted the changing seasons that pass over your fields.” – Rumi.
Every time I return to these words, I feel their quiet power. Rumi reminds us that change is not just inevitable, it’s essential. Every season of the heart, like the turning of the earth, carries its own lessons and hidden beauty. Life calls us to release what no longer serves us, to stretch toward what’s new, and to trust the journey. And often, the very places we resist reveal the deepest wells of strength.
This issue of LLQ Lifestyle is my way of leaning into that transformation. Fire Station is pleased to announce the opening of two new exhibitions that mark the completion of its 2024 Al Ruwad Residency. Threads of Memory by Haifa Al Khuzaie and Between Rust and Art by Ahmed Al Hamar will showcase the unique creative visions of the two established Qatari artists, as part of Fire Station’s commitment to supporting local talent across career stages.
Haifa Al Khuzaie’s Threads of Memory reimagines Qatari heritage through contemporary forms. Her work bridges past and present, honouring heritage while envisioning its future.
Between Rust and Art by Ahmed Al Hamar explores the tension between decay and preservation by reinterpreting elements drawn from daily life into minimal artistic compositions. Al Hamar’s practice is rooted in materiality, texture, and layering. By inducing rust on iron sheets and interrupting its natural process, Al Hamar creates works that transform cultural motifs into powerful reflections on memory, transformation, and reinterpretation.
Launched in 2021, Al Ruwad Residency supports and fosters dialogue between Qatar-based established and emerging artists. By providing time, space, and resources, the programme reinforces Fire Station’s role as a hub for artistic exchange and innovation. The residency also ensures Fire Station’s continued connection to local artists and creates meaningful exchanges through mentorship. Nominated by Fire Station, Al Ruwad artists participate for up to two years, gaining access to studio space and the opportunity to engage with the wider community through public programmes such as talks and workshops.
The exhibitions will be open to the public from Saturday to Thursday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Friday from 1:30 PM to 7:00 PM until 25 October 2025

National Library (QNL) hosted publishers, authors, and industry professionals for a day of insightful discussions, collaboration, and community engagement as part of its ‘Write to Inspire: Books and Authors’ program.
This year’s edition focused on deepening understanding of Qatar’s publishing and distribution ecosystem, providing a platform for stakeholders to share experiences, highlight challenges, and explore growth prospects.
A key highlight of the event was the opportunity for local publishers and authors to engage directly with the public.
The event also welcomed representatives from Al-Nour Center, who gave a presentation on Braille printing in Qatar. They highlighted that most Braille publications are limited to school textbooks and stressed the need for more diverse reading materials for people with visual impairments.
The event also showcased literature and writing prizes in Qatar, celebrating the achievements of local authors.
Haya Abdulla Al Sheeb, Senior Information Services Librarian at Qatar National Library, said the event serves as a platform for nurturing Qatari talent and promoting a culture of collaboration within the local publishing industry.
“By bringing together authors, publishers, and readers, this program creates meaningful connections that support local creativity and contribute to a thriving cultural landscape. We also encourage publishers and writers to devote greater attention to producing Braille books, enriching the availability of such works in Qatar and better serving the needs of the visually impaired,” said Al Sheeb.
The program aligns with QNL’s mission to serve as a hub of learning, culture, and dialogue.

By the early 2020s, Lee had reached a level of prominence where many would have simply settled. His Dubai ecosystem thrived millions of social media impressions monthly, sold-out workshops, and a loyal client base.
However, for Lee, remaining in one city felt like betrayal to his purpose at life and that is to be of service to humanity. “Transformation doesn’t mean repeating what you’ve already mastered. It means daring to evolve into what feels uncertain,” he reflects.
Qatar became the canvas for his next chapter. Fresh from hosting the FIFA World Cup 2022, Qatar was entering a new era of cultural, social, and economic expansion. Wellness and mental health were on the rise, yet the market lacked pioneers to give it structure and leadership. Lee saw not competition, only responsibility. “My gift is transformation. Should I keep it only in Dubai, I am serving myself. If I share it with Qatar, I am serving humanity.”
Entering a new market was not an easy feat.
• Uncertainty of Acceptance — Dubai had embraced Lee’s methods; Qatar was still new territory. Would the culture respond the same way?
• Financial Investment — Building teams, training programs, and partnerships meant starting from scratch.
• Time and Energy — Traveling between Dubai and Doha demanded balance, energy, and sacrifices of personal comfort.
• Resistance to Change — Not everyone welcomed modern life coaching within Qatar’s traditional frameworks. Lee had to earn trust by showing respect for the culture.
Yet he embraced each challenge. “Faith without risk is not faith. Transformation without fear is not transformation,” he often teaches.

“The greatest adjustment was not logistical—it was emotional. Moving between Dubai and Doha meant living in dual energies. Dubai is fast-paced, futuristic, and constantly evolving, while Doha is intentional, steady, and deeply rooted in cultural values. Balancing the speed of one and the depth of the other required me to center myself daily. I had to learn to reset every time I stepped off a plane. It wasn’t about splitting myself; it was about expanding myself to embrace both worlds fully.”

We asked Coach Lee fundamentally what are the core differences between the United Arab Emirates and Qatar?
Coach Lee:
“The UAE is a playground for ambition—it thrives on speed, innovation, and breaking world records. It’s a country that tells you: dream bigger, faster, louder. Qatar, on the other hand, is a nation that values depth. It reminds you: grow stronger, grow rooted, grow wise. The UAE pushes you to climb skyscrapers, while Qatar teaches you to anchor yourself in heritage. Both are powerful in their own ways, but the balance of these energies is what makes the Gulf region a true center of transformation.”
Lee’s life and career embody a timeless truth: transformation begins inside before it manifests outside.
“The universe does not respond to what you pretend to be— it responds to your sincerity,” he often tells his clients. This echoes divine wisdom is his religious values while respecting other faiths he says and shared the below with us:
“Indeed, Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves.”

When we asked Coach Lee what was the greatest observation point for others to consider when developing companies?
Lee Levy:
“The greatest observation is this: build for people, not for ego. Too many companies develop products or services to prove they are clever, but they forget to ask: does this serve humanity? When you build with empathy, when you design with sincerity, your company not only survives but thrives. The second observation is patience. Many entrepreneurs want immediate success. Qatar has taught me that true foundations are built slowly but last for centuries. Look at culture, not just numbers.”

Coach Lee explains:

Lee often integrates spiritual wisdom into his programs, reminding participants that service and growth are sacred acts:
“Whoever saves one life—it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.” (Qur’an 5:32)
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” (Bible, Colossians 3:23)

Lee believes Qatar has a unique advantage in staff training: a national culture of intentionality. Unlike some markets that chase speed, Qatar embraces careful preparation. This creates fertile ground for training programs that focus on depth, sustainability, and longterm vision.
“When you train your staff, you are not teaching them to serve you. You are teaching them to serve themselves— and in doing so, they will naturally elevate your company to heights you never imagined.”

Coach Lee spoke with Arash as below:
What was the main reason that motivated you and your brother to start Unique Properties and what year was that?
We founded Unique Properties in 2008, right before the global financial crisis. What motivated us was a clear gap & opportunity in the Dubai real estate market for a transparent, trustworthy, and truly client-focused brokerage.
At that time, the market was booming, but many players were transactional. My brother Amin and I wanted to build a business centered on long-term relationships, integrity, and expertise — where clients felt they had a partner, not just a broker.
Define what was your greatest challenge in the first 3 years of trading?
The first three years were extremely challenging because we were navigating through the aftermath of the 2008–2009 financial crisis. The Dubai market slowed dramatically,
and many companies disappeared. Our greatest challenge was survival and trust- building — proving to clients and investors that we were stable, reliable, and in it for the long term.
At the same time, because we had already planned to be lean, resilient, and service- driven, the market situation actually worked in our favor. While others pulled back, we doubled down on market focus, and that allowed us to capture a large share of the market that was left open.
What would you say became your USP (Unique Selling Point) that had investors and staff gravitating towards Unique Properties?
Our USP has always been trust and market focus. Since day 1, we built Unique Properties on transparency, integrity, and deep market knowledge. While many brokerages were transactional, we focused on longterm relationships and guiding clients with clarity in a complex market. For investors, that meant confidence that we were protecting and growing their capital.
For our staff, it meant being part of a company where professional growth and a culture of excellence were non-negotiable. Over time, this combination of trust, service, and expertise became the magnet that drew people to Unique Properties.
And importantly, our track record since 2008 has proven our ability to consistently stay at the top, delivering strong performance with high client satisfaction year after year.
You recently embarked on a journey with partners to create an AI platform for Dubai real estate, tell us more about this.
Yes, we launched AIR.prop, an AIpowered platform designed to raise the standard of Dubai’s real estate industry. The market had plenty of opportunity, but lacked data transparency and predictive intelligence.
With AIR.prop, investors now have realtime analytics, pricing forecasts, and portfolio insights. It also transforms the interaction between clients and brokerages by delivering more professional, accurate, and reliable data, making decision-making easier and more efficient for clients.
This
isn’t just technology, it’s about building an ecosystem where trust, data, and opportunity meet, setting a new benchmark for how real estate is transacted in the region.
What’s the immediate 3-year plan going forth?
Over the next three years, our focus is on three core pillars:
Expanding AIR.prop into the leading real estate intelligence platform in Dubai, bringing more transparency, predictive analytics, and efficiency into the market.
Scaling Merrion Capital to attract both regional and international investors, creating structured real estate funds that give global investors access to Dubai’s market.
Building stronger bridges between Dubai and global markets in Europe, Asia, and the US, while opening cross-border opportunities for investors and developers.
At the same time, we are committed to preserving our culture of trust, service, and excellence, which has been the foundation of Unique Properties since day one.
Our three-year vision is simple: leverage technology, grow our fund platform, and go global. With AI driving smarter real estate decisions, Merrion Capital expanding investor access, and Unique Properties bridging Dubai with international markets, we aim to cement our position as a trusted leader shaping the future of real estate.
Any advice to young upcoming startup companies?
I advise young start-ups to first study the market deeply, understand what the appetite is, what is lacking, and where the real potential lies. Do your due diligence thoroughly, because too often founders jump into business models that are already crowded or not sustainable.
Once you’ve done the homework, you need to move very fast. Speed is everything in today’s market. Identify segments where tomorrow the competition will be heavy, and enter those spaces early, before they become saturated.
On top of that, focus on resilience, trust, and innovation. Build longterm relationships, adapt quickly to change, and surround yourself with a strong team. And always remember: dream big, but execute step by step.

One of these individuals Aadilah Chilwan shares an extremely inspiring journey with us and we are sure, this would iginte within all of us some form of inspiration.
1. What was it that motivated you to start the process to Paint for Palestine?
In 2023 there was a surge of social media support for Palestine, almost a year later the light dimmed and what was once a conversation on everyone’s minds started to wilter and fade. I felt that there was a need to continue the conversation.
A need to create a safe space wherein individuals can express themselves, share and connect with others. A need for individuals to pause and reflect from their day to day tasks and acknowledge what is happening in the world. Art has proven to be therapeutic, I believed this was a way in which I can contribute and facilitate a community and create hope on a larger scale.
Alhamdulilah Paint for Palestine has been running just over a year, with monthly workshops since May 2024.
What were the
Qatar positively controls individuals collecting funds, they provide registered organisations such as Qatar Red Crescent, Qatar Charity etc that allow you to make secure donations to countries facing hunger, hardship and poverty.
The only challenge which I’ve successfully overcome is ensuring that no profit is gained, participants donate directly and present their receipt. Even if members are unable to make payment, showing a need and high interest to join they are welcome, the essence is to create a safe space for a community of shared values.
The purpose is to raise awareness, educate, share and continue encouraging the conversation surrounding Palestine.
3. What value does this journey have for you personally and why?
At every session, my purpose strengthens and increases me to be more consistent. We created an environment where others could connect to enhance a community where we are able to create awareness, educate, connect and share, while building a strong relationship with our host, colleagues and friends who assist. Others have been inspired and this created a ripple effect of workshops, Art of Hope, Dabke in Doha and within other countires as well.
4. What are the moods at the various events over the period of time while people attending are painting?
The moods are soft and mindful of the objectives to these workshops while being therapeutic; it creates a peaceful atmosphere. Participants are grateful for the experience, some form friendships and in the end of every workshop there is hope, and good moral energy while increasing awareness on the plight of Palestinians. Participants leave feeling like they have made a difference. They are grateful for a space where they can be mindful, and continue to support and display solidarity away from their daily routine.
5. What is the process for someone to join your event and how does payment work?
The process is simple, the workshop is shared on Instagram and registration is done via a link. Participants are then asked to make a modest donation of QAR50 to Qatar Charity or Qatar Red Crescent. I provide all the art supplies and individuals come and enjoy their session in the glasshouse and express themselves on a canvas.

Ferrari has unveiled its latest sports car, the 849 Testarossa Spider, to international press and clients. The car, which replaces the SF90 Spider in the range, is a hybrid plug-in super sports berlinetta equipped with three electric motors alongside the mid-rear twin-turbo V8, delivering a total of 1050 cv, 50 more than the car it replaces.
The car is both a true coupé and a true spider, thanks to Ferrari’s retractable hard top (RHT), which allows the driver to open and close the roof in just 14 seconds, even while driving at speeds up to 45 km/h. This means that the car’s extraordinary performance can be enjoyed in any condition and even en plein air, offering an even more vibrant connection with the surroundings and heightened driving emotions. To maximize comfort, a new system has been developed to minimize turbulence inside the cabin: an innovative new wind catcher positioned behind the seats.
The 849 Testarossa Spider takes its place at the top of Ferrari’s open-top sports car range thanks to its performance, its ability to thrill the driver without ever compromising ride comfort or interior refinement, as well as its futuristic yet deeply historically rooted design. The heart of the 849 Testarossa Spider revolves around its twin-turbo eight-cylinder internal combustion engine, part of the family of engines that received multiple International Engine of the Year awards. The unit has been completely re-engineered to reach new performance peaks (a remarkable 830 cv of maximum power) and is combined with an advanced hybrid system derived from Ferrari’s unmatched motorsport experience. Among the most prominent innovations is the new turbo, the largest ever for a Ferrari production car, enabling unprecedented acceleration. The hybrid group, consisting of a rear electric motor and two units installed on the front axle, is capable of delivering 220 cv. The on-demand four-wheel drive system and torque vectoring maximize performance in all conditions.
To enhance its dynamic qualities and the driver feedback at the limit, the 849 Testarossa Spider is equipped (in addition to the latest generation brake-by-wire system) with Ferrari’s ABS Evo controller, which improves braking precision and consistency in all conditions, along with the new braking system. The spring and damper set-up has been completely revised for improved behaviour at the limit of grip.
Extensive component weight reduction has allowed the 849 Testarossa Spider to boast the best power-toweight ratio ever for a range model, since the enormous performance increase has not resulted in any additional weight compared to the SF90 Spider.
From a styling point of view as well, the 849 Testarossa Spider marks a revolution in the concept of a Ferrari V8 mid-rear berlinetta: the inspiration taken from 1970s Sports Prototypes, together with sharp and geometric lines, creates a unique and timeless design. The synergy between form and function has enabled impressive aerodynamic performance: the total downforce of 415 kg at 250 km/h represents a 25 kg increase over the SF90 Spider as well as providing a 15% boost in cooling power for the powertrain and brakes.
The cockpit is even more enveloping and ergonomic than before: the central sail motif with the integrated gear-change gate, inspired by the F80, improves the positioning of components and makes them more accessible. The McLaren Le Mans Hypercar was unveiled in a new livery for depositors and prospective buyers of the highly exclusive Project: Endurance customer car program during a private event at Monterey Car Week. Presented by McLaren Group Holdings CEO, Nick Collins and McLaren Racing CEO, Zak Brown, and hosted by Justin Bell, third place overall finisher at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans in the #51 McLaren F1 GTR, Project: Endurance showcased a new livery with a nod to the famed 1974 Indianapolis 500 winning McLaren M16.
First revealed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June, the McLaren Hypercar will make its competitive debut in the 2027 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) as McLaren campaigns to again win the Triple Crown* of motorsport - this time in a single season.
The new livery takes its inspiration from the first of McLaren’s Triple Crown victories, when the M16, driven by Texan Johnny Rutherford, won the 1974 Indianapolis 500. The body colour is updated to McLaren Orange with a dark blue centre strip that is inspired by the colour of the Texas flag, and the roof of the cockpit is adorned with the lone white star of Texas as carried on the helmet design used by Rutherford – who was known as ‘Lone Star JR.’
The livery carries Lone Star JR’s race number 3 as well as McLaren’s Speedy Kiwi and Speedmark logos.
